Back in the day, well 2010 on page 27 of the system archive member CHUCKYPUD posted some explicit results from a system based around the ever faithful RP Naps Table. I think we have all been there at some time and why not?

It is very simple, even I understand it! Check the table for selection covered by at the minimum of 3 tipsters.

    That’s it.

Tuesday GUISHAM (x5) won at 15/8

Today GOLDEN IMAGE (x3) Lost and RIGOLETTO (x6) won at 5/4 [15/8 taken]

An expected SR circa 60% + may lend itself to some kind of staking system and another possibility could be increasing the stake in accord with the number of tips. Both GUISHAM (5) & RIGOLETTO (6) WON whist GOLDEN IMAGE (3) LOST becomes the first pointer.

It is simple, it is easy but as time passes and provides more data, 7 years on we may do better.

I am pleased to see that a few of you have read the introduction about Chuckypud and his Nap System and today there are three to get it off to a flyer.

    EIRENE (4) 3.50 Salisbury @ 4/1 – – – – 2nd

    SO BELOVED (4) 4.00 Haydock @ 6/4 – – – – Lost

    TRILLIANT (3) 3.30 Haydock @ 9/4 – – – 2nd

The only way is up (I hope).

Today has kicked off as so often happens with a deficit but the two 2nd places indicate the prospects of something exciting to anticipate.

I will keep a watch on the selection with the highest number of Naps when there are multiple choices as per yesterday because I really do not like getting my fingers burned whilst another possible choice being each way betting or looking for a “place” only. Until I have plenty of results to check in order to find the most profitable way to proceed I guess level stakes to win must remain the yardstick.

Just the one for today (Thursday): –

    ALQAMAR 4.25 Ascot at 6/4 – – – – 2nd = Lost

With 3 selections each both are at Haydock today: –

    1.20 TIME CHASER (3) @ 1/1 . . . . . Lost
    3.35 MORANDO @ 11/2 . . . . . 3rd

TIME CHASER is too short to bet anything other than win only.
MORANDO at 11/2 is an each way choice available at 1/4 odds for the place.

FIVE! Yes 5 selections today and could be like throwing money down the drain: –

    All at YORK:

    2.30 INDIAN CHIEF (3) . . . . . 3rd
    3.35 AYUTTHAYA (3) . . . . .2nd = Lost
    4.10 GRACEFULL LADY (3) . . . . Lost
    4.45 EQUILATERAL (5) . . . . .Lost
    5.20 DAKOTA GOLD (3) . . . 2nd = Lost

With more selections than I am happy with and perhaps because I have trouble accepting selections and following them faithfully without question I thought about EQUILATERAL with 5 naps as a sole choice but decided on taking the safer route.

INDIAN CHIEF 10/11 top 3 finish.
    AYUTTHAYA @ 9/4
    GRACEFUL LADY 6/5 T3 finish
    EQUILATERAL @ 11/10
    DAKOTA GOLD @ 15/8

    Monday September 11

9-11 a day we shall never forget but will always be one of those days when we knew where we were as the towers crashed.

A quiet dat for Chuckypuds system with just the one selection in an apprentice handicap which under other circumstances I would swerve.

Reading MrE‘s recent post (Hello Girls) along with Purwell etc. it very much sounds as if losing runs are common place at the present time and I think the tipsters naps share this malaise but perhaps today will break the unpleasant sequence.

    VINDICATOR 4.45 Catterick @ 7/2 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ WON 100/30

    CHRISELLAINE 7.45 Newcastle @ 7/2 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ WON 3/1
Perhaps caution is not always the way out of trouble but losing runs dent the confidence and so although 7/2 is not really an each way price it may be a route to escape from the downward spiral.

Taking the cautious route or not it is great to post a double and claw back some lost cash.

We all need a “Happy Day” now and again and posting a double certainly lifts the spirits but I am still keeping within the spirit of caution again today: –

I am quite unhappy with the weather and ground conditions at Doncaster where the Naps table indicates two selections and so CAUTION is once more my MO playing each way for both and reduced stakes.

    Doncaster: –

    GREAT PROSPECTOR (3) 3.35 at 4/1 __________________________ LOST

Chuckypud did say in his introduction of this system idea it did not perform as well at the larger (Festival) meetings. This could
possibly be because the napsters feel obliged to their readers to specialise on the most valuable of races/meetings such as Doncaster today where 3 selections are to be found.

    Doncaster
    2.25 HEARTACHE (3) @ 13/8 ————————————— Won 6/4
    3.00 TIME TO STUDY (3) @ 11/4 ———————————- Won 11/8
    3.35 DESERT SKYLINE (4) @ 7/2 ————————————Won 2/1

    Chester
    2.15 SPUD (3) @ 4/9 (WON 30/100)

The warning via Chuckpud all those years ago indicates a red warning flag but I will wave a white flag about SPUD the price is too short.

    Saturday

Chuckypud said this system did not work as well at the “Bigger” meetings

3 from 3 yesterday at Doncaster rather makes a fool of either he or me but perhaps the logic could be when as today 3 napsters are all in the same race: –

    St. Ledger (3.35 Doncaster)

    CRYSTAL OCEAN (3) .. 2nd 5/1
    CAPRI (4) .. .. . Won 5/1
    DEFOE (5) .. .. .. Lost

Perhaps today I will let them run and just enjoy the race.

Perhaps not offering much help but I am following a rather unorthodox staking and being ruled by my gut rather than the more acceptable 1pt level stakes but nevertheless am happy to say my profit is just short of 10 points. I am ignoring some selections, staking e/w or win all without the restriction of a defined stake, I let the mood take me but is there are any member/readers following this idea of Chuckypuds I am sure staking of choice will find their own style.

    WAIT FOR ME (4) 3.00 Worcester @ 10/11 ——————————— WON 8/11

    THE BIG SHORT (3) 5.15 Brighton @ 2/1 ———————————- LOST

14 days, has produced 12 winning selections from 33. I think my figures make 36% SR. Although far short of Chuckypuds prediction of 60% I am very happy knowing there has been some unforgiving weather conditions during this test trial and I have every hope there will be a much improved percentage in the future.

I cannot quote a level stake profit because I have not recorded it with that in mind but I have produced a double figure profit with varied staking within the 14 days.

I hope any reader/member interested can now proceed without my daily posting which due to personal life changes makes it difficult.
