Some very tight games yesterday, most notably that high scoring encounter between Trigger and Johnny B (bad luck JB – if you’d been playing anyone else other than Trig you’d be through, as I’m sure you are aware).
Also a bit of Wenger/Fergie type whinging following one of the other matches brings a bit of real life footie atmosphere to the competition.

Trigger looks big at 7/1 given he outscored the rest of the qualifiers by a wide margin in the last 16 and appears to be the man in form. Toughie against Colin Little though.
Interesting that all the qualifiers from the group I was in are all still in it. The prices get tricky now

Looking that way but 15 points not insurmountable. All the ties look nicely poised for an exciting weekend next Sat.
Well my tie doesn’t look nicely balanced at all it looks over considering John William always scores well – don’t think I haven’t checked his weekly scores lol. My running on late style ala dodgepot Nayyir is up against a damn speed freak ala Shamardal. He should be about 1/10 to qualify.
Bertie vs Baggie should be good, I didn’t think Baggie had a hope of winning ang priced him accordingly but he has certainly made me look like a fool! Colin and Bob also look likely to progess, unless Bob is offered a payrise!:biggrin:
well done bertie the best man got the victory today , i would like to thank the organisers who have done a top job on what is a fitting tribute to a fine human being who was taken from us many years to soon . fsl you are a star your odds making put the edge to the comp.are we going to have a daylight cup for the flat season i hope so
