Some very tight games yesterday, most notably that high scoring encounter between Trigger and Johnny B (bad luck JB – if you’d been playing anyone else other than Trig you’d be through, as I’m sure you are aware).
Also a bit of Wenger/Fergie type whinging following one of the other matches brings a bit of real life footie atmosphere to the competition.
Down to the last 8 now – good luck all.
Here’s how the quarter final draw came out of the hat earlier this evening :
Bertie Vs Baggie 321
John Williams Vs Flatseasonlover
Neil Anderson Vs Bob Rolf
Colin Litle Vs Trigger
March 11, 2007 at 22:44 #87193Colin Little 3/1
Bertie 7/2
Bob Rolf 7/2
John Williams 5/1
Trigger 7/1
Neil Anderson 7/1
Baggie321 10/1
FlatSeasonLover 11/1
March 11, 2007 at 22:46 #87194ps I hope I was Alex Ferguson Corm – now there’s a dour Scot beaten only by Gordon Brown!
March 11, 2007 at 22:51 #87195Trigger looks big at 7/1 given he outscored the rest of the qualifiers by a wide margin in the last 16 and appears to be the man in form. Toughie against Colin Little though.
March 11, 2007 at 22:53 #87196Thats why he is 7/1
March 11, 2007 at 23:36 #87197Interesting that all the qualifiers from the group I was in are all still in it. The prices get tricky now
Bertie 4/6 vs Baggie321 11/10
John Williams 4/6 vs FlatSeasonLover 11/10
(the bismarck)Neil Anderson 11/8 vs Bob Rolf 4/7
Colin Little 8/11 vs Trigger Evs
March 12, 2007 at 08:33 #87198Neil is my boss at work……………………now, do I go for glory or a pay rise

March 12, 2007 at 08:36 #87199or pay rise???????
March 12, 2007 at 09:29 #87200You could of told me before i gave him the Bismarck lol. Should be a good fixture then, good luck to all those involved.
March 12, 2007 at 20:30 #87201Go for glory Bob as I want you to win this ;)
March 16, 2007 at 22:48 #87202Good luck everyone (but not you John Williams:biggrin: though you won’t need any anyway)
Bob’s my pick to go on and win this.
March 18, 2007 at 15:57 #87203Quarter finals 1st leg scores :-
Bertie Vs Baggie321 (8-8)
John Williams Vs Flatseasonlover (22-14)
Neil Anderson Vs Bob Rolf (18-30)
Colin Little Vs Trigger (23-8)
March 18, 2007 at 16:17 #87204Looks a formality for you now John.
Good to see you went for glory Bob :)
March 18, 2007 at 16:19 #87205Looks like you’ve done your money again Corm:biggrin:
March 18, 2007 at 19:17 #87206Looking that way but 15 points not insurmountable. All the ties look nicely poised for an exciting weekend next Sat.
March 18, 2007 at 20:06 #87207Well my tie doesn’t look nicely balanced at all it looks over considering John William always scores well – don’t think I haven’t checked his weekly scores lol. My running on late style ala dodgepot Nayyir is up against a damn speed freak ala Shamardal. He should be about 1/10 to qualify.
Bertie vs Baggie should be good, I didn’t think Baggie had a hope of winning ang priced him accordingly but he has certainly made me look like a fool! Colin and Bob also look likely to progess, unless Bob is offered a payrise!
