This is how the money is to be distributed. According to Skelton this is a new pinnacle in the sport and honors a true racing legend

David Power Jockeys’ Cup: All you need to know about the biggest prize in Jumps racing history
The more I know the less I understand.
November 18, 2024 at 12:54 #1713181“A far more deserving cause for the money would surely be the IJF and owners should have been consulted first.
Bookmakers shouldn’t be deciding where money goes in the sport,
———————-Yep. As I said, I’d rather the money went into race prize money for all – for jockeys, trainers and owners. Or yes, the IJF too. But if race prize money or going to the IJF how do Power get prolonged publicity from it?
ie It may not be an either / or, but rather a matter of: Have this money this way or nothing at all. So the alternative might have been no money coming into Racing.Value Is EverythingNovember 18, 2024 at 18:26 #1713206Sick of it already. Cobden is now on the post saying he’d rather win this than the jockey’s championship. I couldn’t give a toss about either. Apparently it’s “All about the horse” but the horse seems increasingly irrelevant in marketing British racing.
November 18, 2024 at 18:37 #1713207Aside from the jockeys and those in the purse strings of Paddy Power I think the unanimous verdict is, no one gives a ……… because it certainly is not going to benefit horse racing.
The more I know the less I understand.

Didn’t mention the Racing League though. The more I know the less I understand.

Didn’t mention the Racing League though.”I also see he made no reference to bookmakers restrictions on punters.
What a ****!December 11, 2024 at 19:44 #1715240They’re of touch with ordinary people. Increasing focus on jockeys and trainers is making horses look like mere expendable tools of the trade and playing into the hands of animal rights nutcases. Fair play to the jockeys who visit Alder Hey but truth is that every one of those kids would have been more excited to pat Neptune Collange!
December 15, 2024 at 11:17 #1715506Another initiative that surely wasn’t asked for. And we keep seeing them…….
And people wonder why the sport is in decline…..Just stop messing about with it.
