Would he be crying or baffled because 2 of his old horses wins on champions aw day netting nearly 200k
The point is what is it with horses improving for switching stables? it cant be that different in training can it?
April 15, 2017 at 12:14 #1296888Presumably embarrassment will be the main emotion, although Dandy must have other things on his mind right now.
Like the FROM McCain TO [Anyone Else] switch that yielded so many winners over the last couple of years, I’m sure Dandy’s horses will be winning everything for their new yards.
April 15, 2017 at 14:18 #1296908I had thought along the same lines myself. Must be awkward to see new connections do so well so soon with your old horses. Wouldn’t be surprised to see others also come on for a change of scenery. I’m glad to see Ruth Carr get a very good horse, she is probably as capable as many better supported trainers and is improving her stock year on year. She could have a proper breakthrough year in 2017.
April 15, 2017 at 16:04 #1296922Nicholls paid a small fortune for Sovereign Debt I’m surprised they let him go but he’s done nothing but run his heart out for his new yard and is obviously thriving there.
Good luck to Ruth Carr and her team.

That would explain it then Nathan, don’t like to see anyone out of a job and it must be hard for him to see his potential investment doing so well now.

I was actually thinking of the stable staff too when I’m said that folly and I obviously was unaware of Dandy Nicholls financial situation until Nathan pointed it out so didn’t mean to offend anyone..Jac

Particularly his female staff (allegedly)
April 15, 2017 at 21:34 #1296951Yes, see what you mean now LS3 and follyhoog..just googled the name and was really shocked at what turned up, not a nice character and my sympathies well and truly with his female staff (allegedly).
Hope his ex horses give him a good kick in the cojones and win every race they turn out for this season..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 15, 2017 at 21:36 #1296952As was pointed out in a previous thread although Nicholls has said it’s financial pressures which have led to this he is appearing in court soon to face charges which may lead to him losing his licence or even freedom if found guilty.
