4.15 Kempton – Khatiba / Windy Citi
Plenty of horses in this with decent course form and in with chances in this one including likely favourite Ians Memory , top yard and no great shock should this one go in again. But at the prices on offer and given their course form i am inclined to side with two against the field. The first of these is Khatiba , a C&D winner from the Roger Varian stable who certainly knows how to place one , never been out of the top two when running here – 1 , 2 , 1 , 2. Hasnt been at her best since re appearance , being out of the frame on all 3 starts this season but am hopeful of a better showing now she’s running a track she certainly seems to have a liking for , and at the current price of 12/1 worth a shot i think. The second horse is Chris Walls’ Windy Citi who won here over a furlong further last time out , and before that was beaten a neck here , again over a mile. Has never been out of the first 3 home when running here at Kempton – 1 , 1 , 3 , 2 , 1 and it certainly encourages me that George Baker is again in the saddle as he has ridden the filly on every run she’s had here. Whilst she has yet to win over todays distance (only ran once over 7f and that was on her debut) but i cant see the drop in trip proving too much of a hinderance , she seems to be an improving sort and the trainer is as shrewd as they come and has a healthy 21% strike rate here along with a profit to a point stake of +81.72 , should go well.
Khatiba @ 12/1 (Ladbrokes)
Windy Citi @ 8/1 (Ladbrokes)August 18, 2015 at 15:28 #1172691Tuesday 18th August

5.30 Worcester – In The Rough @ 6/1
Looked mightily impressive when racking up a 4 timer last year over hurdles , but didnt quite live up to expectations when failing to land the odds in a beginners chase last time out at Southwell earlier this year. Should know more this time round though and can hopefully go one better. Up against some decent rivals including another Jonjo runner but as a CD winner and being 3 from 3 here that just edges it for me.6.30 Worcester – At First Light @ 17/2
2 from 2 here at Worcester and should run her race once again. Trainer only brings this one to the meeting and has a 100% strike rate at the track thanks to this horse. Nico De Boinville in the plate and hes struck up a decent partnership with the horse riding her 9 times resulting in 3 wins and 2 seconds. Would probably be more at home in a handicap tbh but should make her presence felt nevertheless.8.40 Kempton – King Calypso @ 6/1
Hasnt shown much on last 2 starts but not totally disgraced in them and i think that he’ll do much better now returning to Kemptons polytrack where he never seems to run a bad race – 1 , 1 , 1 , 2 , 2. Hasnt won over todays 2 miles but proves that he gets the trip when 2nd over CD to Shades Of Silver back in June. Claimer E Greatrex takes a valuable 5lb off his back and is a jockey i rate , and trainer has a good strike rate here and had a nice 16/1 winner here yesterday and im hoping that this one will be another one in the bag.August 19, 2015 at 21:14 #1175525Wednesday 19th August

5.35 Salisbury – Cricklewood Green @ 7/4
Three things immediatley caught my eye about this one , first thing was that he’s two from two here at Salisbury , the second was the very (imo) eyecatching booking of Katie Walsh and the third was was he was due to run the other day before being declared a non runner , to my slightly jumbled up off set brain this could all point to a good run this evening. Won on August 12th here over 7f and hets to race off the same mark here tonight , extra furlong shouldnt pose too much of a problem and as i said a big run looks to be on the cards.8.05 Salisbury – Bold Runner 1/2 Pt EW @ 8/1
Only been out of the first 3 once in last 6 years and was a solid second over C&D when last seen on the flat last month , had a recent spin over hurdles at Newton Abbot coming 9th but will be better suited to this i think and imo a better run can be expected tonight. Has a win and a second to his name here at Salisbury from three runs , trainer only sends this one out today and has Ed Greatrex in the plate taking off an invaluable 5lb , trainer and jock are 1 from 1 in the past couple of months and at the current price i think hes worth a small each way to nothing . Only concern would be is if one dropped out making it a 7 runner race , if that the case my advise would be no betAugust 22, 2015 at 11:44 #1180276Friday 21st August

2.00 York – Top Notch Tonto 1/2 Pt EW @ 7/1
Has found a new lease of life since being fitted with cheekpieces on last two starts , coming first and second. And if they continue to work the oracle then im finding it hard to think of a reason why he shouldnt be on the presmises again today. Never been out of the first three home at York – 3 , 3 , 2 , 1 , 2 and has the able assistance of SDS from the plate. If putting his best foot forward then i cant see any reason why he shouldnt place at the very least. - AuthorPosts
