1:15 Plumpton
The Nicholls horse is supposed to be pretty good.
It was entered against cue card and walkon on Saturday so must be held in some regard. Runs tomorrow at Plumpton, I shall be there, think it could land the spoils.
I could be completely wrong but i’d rather take the 11/10 than 4/6.Your thoughts??

January 1, 2012 at 23:31 #385326I was at Newbury on Saturday and there was some disappointment that the Nicholls horse didn’t run, then again it was pretty bad ground and not sure if we would have run anyway. If the confidence remains for Plumpton it should win.
January 2, 2012 at 02:48 #385334Paul Nichol’s owners are loaded and they’d be happy to pay the entry fee for the horse anywhere PN suggests even if it’s only to get a run into the horse.
He may well have been entered against Cue Card but he was also entered at lowly Plumpton. I doubt either entry is a guide to how good or how bad he is but it’s one big ask to give weight to a horse like Kumbashwar for a horse who’s form in France was nothing to write home about.
If it was something special he’d be the favourite and there are no signs of anyone rushing to back him.
My bet is he’ll need the run and is one of PN’s lesser lights out to gain some experience and Kumbeshwar will go off around 4/9 and hack up
January 2, 2012 at 11:20 #385359Does anyone know anything about the owners of the Nicholls horse i.e. Axom xxxiii ?
January 2, 2012 at 16:11 #385384Axom are a syndication company, their most famous horse to date has been Deano’s Beano.
