I see Harry Sherbert is saying this race will suit Qemah better than what the French 1000 guineas did. As She pulls hard and they should go faster here. Well Harry you old dog they just may go slow. How many three year old fillies are in this ownership, surely they can find a pacemaker of there own.
Qemah does however look guaranteed to be a runner so at 10/1 looks an okay bet with many likely to drop out.Blackbeard to conquer the World
June 10, 2016 at 18:04 #1250660Dermot Weld sending Tanaza over Nath and he don’t send em to Royal Ascot for a laff!! 20/1 might be a sporting bet
June 10, 2016 at 22:13 #1250696I like nemoralia here.
June 12, 2016 at 18:04 #1250969Market all over Jet Setting. Unless the ground dries the race is likely to cut up and the outcome probably revolves around whether she has recovered from the Irish Guineas.
June 15, 2016 at 20:34 #1251679Having been all the rage Jet Setting has been pretty uneasy since she was sold. Strange, perhaps more to it than a fear of drying ground?
June 15, 2016 at 20:53 #1251683I did Jet Setting for this race at 4/1. It seemed clear at the time that Ballydoyle and Nemoralia would not run. I also had a small saver on Nathra.
Nemoralia is still in the field but the trainer seemed very resigned to the fact that she would probably come out of this race.
Minding won the Oaks and Pretty Perfect dotted up at Cork last weekend, so the form looks pretty good. Jet Setting was also 10 lengths clear of the third that day and if it’s soft she should go off 6/4 in my opinion.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
June 15, 2016 at 21:11 #1251687I think Noseda has changed his tune Steve. She is buzzing at home so he really wants to run her, especially as this was the plan all along.
Don’t think the ground is going to be that bad unless they get hit with much more rain, although there are possible thunderstorms. As the race has cut up if you do get drying ground I think she’ll be very hard to beat.

Maybe he has. He’s not really a trainer I follow. There seems very little value in trainers such as himself, Roger Varian, Ed Dunlop and William Haggas in my experience.
You have to respect her chance but for now she is a Listed winner only and the form of that looks nothing special in the runs that have come out of it since.
Jet Setting is a Group 1 winner and her form is at a higher level. She has mixed it with an Oaks and Guineas winner and has been keeping stronger company than Nemoralia. 7/1 Nemoralia is a fair enough price but they may yet take her out so that’s a gamble. Once they go NRNB we will see what odds they are offering but for all that she hosed up 6l last time I doubt she beat much.
I’ll just stick to the two I have picked regardless of the ground.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
June 16, 2016 at 18:35 #1251859I have 6/1 Jet Setting for this. As long as the ground doesn’t dry out she’ll be hard to beat here. Any more rain all the better in fact the more it rains the better her chance.
That said I can’t tip rubbish at Ascot this week so she’ll probably finish last.
June 17, 2016 at 12:10 #1251944Promising Run looks outstanding each way vale at 50/1. Coming back in trip after a solid run in the Musidora should help her settle. Suspect she could trade quite short in running compared with Betfair SP
Have backed Besharah too, who likes it here (131). Looks too big at 20s
June 17, 2016 at 13:07 #1251955I still like Nemoralia. I know the ground is not perfect but it’s been drying out of late and I reckon she could be a bit special.
June 17, 2016 at 13:25 #1251961Going to be very hard to head Jet Setting I think, the french horse has the best turn of foot in the race and if she is travelling well then she wins it but french horses I find are weak and not that strong. If the french jock is niggling at her she has no chance.
June 17, 2016 at 16:26 #1252010Thank You! WHAT AN EXCELLENT ROYAL ASCOT!!!
June 17, 2016 at 16:35 #1252013Interesting to see what the fractions were. To the naked eye Foley seemed to commit suicide on the front end. On lines through Ballydoyle, Jet Setting ought to have finished in front of both Quemah and Nemoralia.

I think the ground went against Jet Setting. The downpours that were forecast around Ascot have missed the track since Tuesday and the ground has dried up quite considerably.

Jet Setting has run nothing like her previous form with Now Or Never and The Racing Post had Jet Setting running 12 lbs below her last run in today’s race.
Qemah in winning, and Alice Springs in third paid good compliments to La Cressonniere, who defeated the two of them in winning the French 1000 Guineas.
La Cressonniere is due to run in the Prix Diane (French Oaks) on Sunday, so we will see how that one pans out.
I did La Cressonniere for the race before she ran in the French 1000 Guineas and took 14/1. Ballydoyle is favourite for that one but the going is currently good to soft and if there is any more rain she must be doubtful to take her chance.
La Cressonniere will have no problem with further cut in the ground.
Should be a good race if they all show on Sunday. John Gosden’s Swiss Range is in the field and I have liked the look of Volta this season, very progressive at a mile and it is more a question of the trip for her here.
I promised myself a saver on Volta if I could get 12/1 but 9/1 is the biggest at the moment.
Well done to Qemah backers, my initial worry was how she would cope if it was soft but it dried out in time for her. Another good winner for my favourite French trainer Jean-Claude Rouget, who came into this season saying he had his best ever team of 3yo’s and it certainly has looked like that.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

I hope some people took the advice and backed La Cressonniere.
