25 runners with 3 non runners, why on earth did they call a rule 4?
No other bookmaker on the planet did the same!
April 28, 2011 at 11:52 #352527Did you ask them what horse it relates to?
If it’s Beautiful Sound then they are really taking the piss with that.
April 28, 2011 at 12:02 #352530Due to the farcical Irish reserve rule all the bookmakers had different rules regarding the race. Corals priced up all the runners including reserves with a rule 4 for any nrs. Presumably their prices would have been bigger overall to compensate for this.
April 28, 2011 at 13:39 #352548That is correct Eddie. Corals had all runners priced up.
April 28, 2011 at 14:18 #352552I didnt pay much attention to the article but on the Pricewise page on the day of the race he stuck up bookmakers changes to terms and prices had Beutiful Sound got in
April 28, 2011 at 16:14 #352559From the Racing Post due to the peculiar irish trait of allowing reserves to run up to an hour before the off
"Blue Sq and Corals – the race has been priced as if all are running, Rule 4 where applicable will be enforced on non runners
including reserves
