My guess is it was caused by confusion over how Oddschecker has split rows between ‘Japan’ and ‘Japan(IRE)’ Currently Hills have the ‘Japan(IRE)’ version so a quick glance might have suggested that since only one bookie was listing it he was probably not running?
Betfair still have Japan in the race !!

Can GHAIYYETH* dominate this field from the front? Hasn’t beaten much yet? I doubt it and especially with this strong headwind forecast.
I always bet Regal Reality, but I just might desert him here, as I can’t see it being anything else than a duel between Enable and Ghaiyyath, but I will wait until tomorrow.
Having a proper proper bet on enable @5/4, i do not rate ghaiyyath atall, taking that last run out of the mix hes done nothing and if you take strad out that last race and look at the form, its rank
If she didnt win this, regardless of needing it or not id be absolutely shocked, shes by a mile the best in it, its a group 1, they can pretend she wont be almost fully cooked if they want.
Japans a top prospect over 12f, but hes now having to give her weight, no chance.

Ghaiyyath ran a very fast time but so did every horse that week
On the bare form he beat AVD by 2 and a half lengths
I’d expect both enable and Japan to have beaten him by much further than that
Ghaiyyath thrives when fresh and exposes horses who struggle to keep up with his cruising speed, enable to my eye always had a very high cruising speed and I’d be surprised if ghaiyyath can take her out of her comfort zone
Iv had a little bet on Japan and Deirdre just in case enable really needs the run and I can see magic wand trying to spoil ghaiyyaths race

His previous win was against handicappers a very weak group 3 albeit he cruised it. Adding that there is a very strong headwind tomorrow (if my forecast is right) and with JAPANS last run disappointing i think ENABLE just gets up imoI’ll side with Enable here, but she’s just too short a price.
My ideal result would be for Regal Reality to finish runner up, but I will watch this without a bet.

Two taps on enable, never gave her a hard time which im disappointed about.
But no excuses, younger enable at “85%”would have won that, so ill be avoiding her from here on! Id expect the younger bunch love etc to be to good now!
I still do not rate the winner, i cannot take to him
