From one dodgy Arab owner to another

Do you think the son of a dictator will be considered a "fit and proper" person?
January 26, 2010 at 16:43 #272178How has that been allowed at Portsmouth?
Incredible mismanagement by the FA to allow such goings on
January 26, 2010 at 16:47 #272179How has that been allowed at Portsmouth?
I am sure it is just coincidence however.
Southampton – Harry Rednap was manager, club goes into administration.
Portsmouth – Harry Rednap was manager, club teetering on administration
Tottenham ………………..
Also current Chief Executive, former Chairman and former Manager (who are of course innocent until proven otherwise) are all being called before m’learned friends to explain some financial transactions.
January 26, 2010 at 16:53 #272180There was me thinking Harry is a good manager
January 26, 2010 at 17:04 #272181Clubs going into administration have nothing to do with the managers. They get given a budget, and spend them accordingly. The fact is, the sugar daddy pretence is falling apart in the EPL, and the foreign buyers are looking for good returns. It’s quite enjoyable watching all they wannabee big shot clubs barely floating above water. All the while, Celtic are one of the few clubs buying players during the window, yet remain almost debt free because it’s run as a proper club with financial prudency.
The likes of Portsmouth, Rangers and West Ham deserve what they get. They were all run by take out merchants, now they’re all crying about it when it’s too late.
January 26, 2010 at 17:18 #272184Worrying times for Pompey fans. Didn’t Gaddafi Snr insist on Gaddafi Jnr playing for a side in Italy?

And a club that the managers of Burnley/bolton and Swansea (now Wigan) turned down
January 26, 2010 at 18:48 #272205What does that have to do with Finacial Stability?
January 26, 2010 at 19:00 #272211Something to do with the fact that those two managers saw better prospects at low level premiership clubs perhaps?
And where is this "spending" by Celtic then? £2m for some Dane ive never heard of? A couple of nationwide players
WOW!
January 26, 2010 at 19:19 #272219Celtic laughable squad is indeed quite laughable but at least they have black on the balance sheet. lol
January 26, 2010 at 19:44 #272227Don’t listen to Clive. His knowledge on football is limited, and he supports a club owned by a Russian. Look at Chelsea’s history, and there wasn’t much there until silly foreign money got flung around.
January 26, 2010 at 19:59 #272233So you dont know anything about football unless your team has won things? I have often found the opposite to be true…
Anyway, clubs have goine bust in every major league in europe (even heavily regulated Germany i think) Wallace and Portsmouth arent bust yet. You ant blame the english FA. Ultimately they are not responsible for ownership once these clubs are available and even if they did try to impose regulations, appeals to the courts would follow (probably successfully)
Magnier would be interesting though. he would be buying into a club with a true support and rubbish stadium. Potential is still there…
January 26, 2010 at 20:06 #272236It’s a waste of time Clive. You constantly fabricate comments on a regular basis. I never blamed the FA. Neither did i say you have to support a team that has ‘won things’, in order to know a lot about football. I think you ought to stick to cricket, Pinocchio.
January 26, 2010 at 20:09 #272237Wallace blamed the FA as for the rest you clearly dont understand your own posts. Whatever….
January 26, 2010 at 20:14 #272239FA should have not allowed to pass the parcel situation to occur with Portsmouth among rich Arabs. Oh well….their fans must be tearing their hair out
January 26, 2010 at 20:20 #272240Why does it matter if Arabs own the club? As long as they keep it successful and don’t screw over the fans, I don’t see the big deal. We’re fine with them propping up the flailing sport of horse racing, why not football?
