I’ve noted that Stoute’s maiden winner, Convey has been taken out of the betting with only some bookmakers for the 2,000 Guineas, but have heard nothing in the news. Can anybody shed any light on this for me?
Thanks.

There are still plenty of firms offering odds but I notice William Hills, Corals, Paddy Power and Bet Victor are not offering odds at the moment.
His stable companion Consort, was quite well backed this past week and perhaps he has emerged as their number one candidate on the gallops.
Convey is a ridgling, which is a horse with an undescended testicle. I have heard that sometimes this can cause discomfort to the horse. He is 70/1 on Betfair.
I would be wary of John Gosden’s Fannaan, who is around about 25/1 for the race but is more than 300/1 on Betfair. With the money coming for Faydhan and Richard Pankhurst the past fortnight it could be that this fellow will head elsewhere in search of glory.
Sorry but I have heard nothing that would suggest a problem or a reason why he’s out of the betting in some books. Haven’t heard a squeak about him at all over the winter actually.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

And you’re right with the talk all about Consort (not to mention Pricewise), he looks like SMS main Guineas hope. I wasn’t aware Convey was a ridgling though and cheers for that.
