Thanks MOM, well done yourself too mate. He had a ton in hand didn’t he. I can barely remember watching a 2m5f horse race before, where the jockey had the horse in the exact correct position the entire way around. Where I really thought, this kid is going to win this, from the first hurdle being jumped. It was a great ride mate as you say.
Compare it too the champion jockeys ride in the Greatwood on a well backed runner. Despite days of horses winning going around the outside, he chooses too go down the inner. The horse runs an incredible race, gets beaten by horses running wide, and afterwards, the champion jockey quips… “He’ll win a really big handicap off this mark”. Well yes Dickie, if you’d have gone round the outside and swung wide turning for home, it would have probably been today!!! In complete contrast to the Jonjo ride, I knew Dickies horse was getting beat from very early on. The fact he ran so well, is just even more annoying. That was a very bad ride IMO, given the conditions and circumstances.
Jonjo rode a barnstormer. He’s going too the top.
