    KHAADEM 33/1

When he got beat on debut you got the feeling that Hills was gutted as he expected him to win he did get a bump but was 3rd behind behind Calyx. On the whole was decent showing by him.At the weekend on 2nd start he showed his class toyed with rivals. This is the trainer of Muharar and Baatash he knows a top sprinting prospect when he gets one i feel he got another top class horse on his hands.

Others i liked SPACE TRAVELLER Who same price as my bet 33/1 a horse who is 2 from 2 and near top of betting for Gimcrack.

Do like Konchek but feel he needs to be placed in a group one this year he ran ok but feel more to come.

    TEN SOVEREIGNS 16/1

Makes a quick return to the track today after blowing his field away last week.

Aidan said the Middle Park is his target and that suggests Sprinter to me.

2/5 today and surely he gets cut if he wins.

It may help if Aidan elaborates on his long term aims today.

    Get ON

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

I like that angle Steve and will follow you in on TS at 16’s.

I expect Anthony Van Dyke will be Coolmore’s Guineas/Derby horse and this fellow looks sharp enough so may well head down the sprinting route.

Let’s hope we’re sitting on a nice winter warmer of a voucher come later this afternoon.

Caught my eye last week and was unbelieveable again,I actually think he will be aimed at the guineas as of now, alot of the 2yos they have thrown out seem to have the makeup of strong 10-12f types, hes the first that ive actually thought will be a 7-8f horse

Could be wrong just looks like he will Atleast get 7f the way he hits the line and that usually means one thing with aidens horses… ill be surprised if they keep him to 6f going into his 3yo season anyway

Almost certain to be aimed at the Guineas at the moment, ham. I think TS will go for the Middle Park, then if Coolmore don’t have a stand out miler (which at the moment seems not – but early days)… it’ll be the Guineas. At this point, the way he travels at 6f (and breeding) imo he’s unlikely to stay at Newmarket and then be brought back to 6f for the Commmonwealth Cup. If they do have a good Guineas candidate might keep him sprinting a la Caravaggio.

He looks a sprinter to me. They have been down the Guineas road with US Navy Flag and it was patent that it didn’t suit. For all that you might WANT a Guineas contender, that alone will make zero difference to whether the horse will stay.

That Guineas is getting tight at the top of the betting and going into the final furlong on the day you might end up being the hare who sets it up for eg Too Darn Hot.

16/1 is history for Ten Sovereigns here and a Middle Park win will see him skinny I would think.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Yeah i dont actually disagree he looks a sprinter, he will definitely get 7, if he runs well in either of the guineas if he were to go that route, theres 0 chance of him coming here, think id rather have had the 16/1 for the guineas before today in hindsight rather than this, but nontheless, hes much shorter than he was, so well done.

…It’ll also depend on what else Coolmore have for the Commonwealth Cup. eg If Sergei Prokofiev were to return to form and realise his earlier potential, they might be more likely to take a chance at a mile with Ten Sovereigns even if looking a better sprinting prospect.

    Look, no editing, Nathan!
    (apart from this)
Does the above now look like I’m arguing with myself?
Just as well, I’ve argued with everyone else. ;-)

They’ll definitely try and make him a miler for the sake of breeding which is always the worry with Coolmore- nice price though Steve if they do go there!

Big Brothers Pride was an impressive winner today in France in the Gp.3 Prix Sigy. Went from the front, which can often be a disadvantage at Ascot, but he wouldn’t be worth dismissing if heading for this race. Trained by Francois Rohaut he had Barbill, Happy Odyssey, Vintage Brut and True Mason well behind. It was only his 3rd racecourse start having beaten a subsequent winner in a maiden last time out. Currently unquoted.

    Calyx 10/1

Fingers crossed he bolts up in the Pavilion then goes here as a 6/4 Fav B-)

Kingman progeny have at least not regressed based on a few that’s been out so far – Persian King & Twist N Shake who ran in the maiden this afternoon.

    Boom!

Had him at 15/2 before the race started. The money for him suggested he was well so was going to shorten if winning. Stunning performance though!

    Delighted.

It was so impressive I’m cursing myself for not putting a single on

    Have him in 2 trixies

One from a few weeks ago

    Calyx 10/1
    Japan 12/1 (derby)
    Newspaperofrecord 4/1 (coronation stakes)

Then one I put on a couple of days ago

    Calyx 7/1
    Madhmoon 9/1 (guineas)
    Polydream 12/1 (queen anne)

Fingers crossed can hit a couple of winners

Hard not to get to hyped up about this horse but he could be a special one
