Rathbones E.b.f. Maiden Stakes, the opener tonight at Chester was a race where horses were doing everything but running in a straight line acording to race reports.

It makes on ask "Is this course suitable for 2-y-o’s?

Especially so early in the season?

I believe running in a straight line at Chester would be dangerous.

Horses for courses Tom. Some will act some wont. Same goes for hills. Some will act some wont.

We cant have every two year old race run on a flat, straight track.

It has always been the view of Barry Hills that the best place to educate a 2 year old is at Chester.
