Masekela for me
Was watching a YouTube video the other day and Oisin nominated this as his best chance of the week
And given balding won the coventry and Albany he looks set to run well
June 19, 2021 at 08:57 #1546555Can’t see how Great Max qualifies for this. Isn’t the Chesham restricted to 2yos whose sire or dam won over 9.5 furlongs or more? By Wootton Bassett (never won over more than 7f) out of a mare who never won.
June 19, 2021 at 10:34 #1546581Teeslemee, Great Max’s dam, won one race over a distance of 2300m in Dinan, France.
June 19, 2021 at 12:44 #1546636Only one winner here and that’s POINT (and shoot) LONSDALE.
Stone cold certainty. Backed at 6/4 should be 1/4.
June 19, 2021 at 13:04 #1546647Aiden O Brien as good as owns this race and has won 3 of the last 5 runnings and 4 of the last 10. Whatever he sends here is a machine.
When Aiden sends a 2yo to run in England then he means business specifically in a certain type of race- A 2yo listed race(last 5 years).
15% strike rate in 2yo U.K. group races
15% strike rate in 2yo U.K. maidens
0% strike rate in 2yo novice
27% strike rate in 2yo listed racesWhen you concentrate on his record in the Chesham the 27% rises.
Aiden O Brien always leaves a huge amount to work on with his 2yos first time out yet they are always short in betting and horrifically underpriced and almost never any value.
This one absolutely scooted up in a Curragh maiden by 5 1/2 lengths going away. That race was nothing special but the manner in which he won it was sensational. Devastating turn of foot from the front. With the ground testing and drawn in the right place he will fly out and when Moore asks him to quicken the reaction will surely be mind blowing.
Recorded an RPR of 95 on debut and is going to improve immensely on his 2nd run. Aidens last 3 winners of this were Churchill, Battleground and September.
None of them can possibly get to him today.
Ascot banker of the week and really should be odds on.
Was entered in The Railway stakes at the Curragh as well but they come here with him to land another Chesham instead for the team. The rest are merely playing for 2nd place.
June 19, 2021 at 14:13 #1546695I like your confidence robbo haha
Aidans 2yos have been very average so far this week though
June 19, 2021 at 14:29 #1546711Masekela
Looks on the face of it for today the best of these. Port Lonsdale was visually impressive but I have doubts in the ground.
MasekelaHas no questions to answer over the ground.
He should at least place. Physically looked very well forward last time out.June 19, 2021 at 14:30 #1546712This is the 2yo that folk will have a painting of on their wall in years to come.
No horse can live with this one. Rocket.
June 19, 2021 at 14:42 #1546717Looked like he needed a step up in trip
Took some time to get going and ground it out
June 19, 2021 at 14:42 #1546719I like the way Point Lonsdale veered sharply across the track and still won while Dettori’s horse stayed to a straighter line and lost
June 19, 2021 at 14:47 #1546720Point Lonsdale and High Definition will be some clash in 2024 Albert Bartlett.
BUY THE SUN
June 19, 2021 at 14:48 #1546722They may as well just hand this horse all of the 3yo classics right now.
Potentially better than Frankel and no horse will ever beat him.
Big opinions for big horses. Phenomenal amount of improvement to come with Point.
Greatest Of All Time? Maybe.
June 19, 2021 at 14:50 #1546723Dettoris horse veered even more rob
June 19, 2021 at 15:08 #1546730POINT (and shoot) LONSDALE installed as the 2022 1000 Guineas Favourite and The Derby Favourite.
The first genuine contender to Frankels crown as greatest of all time to come along.
The first time I have ever seen a horse who will win The triple Crown.
Guineas-Derby-Leger winner 2022Move over Frankel.
June 19, 2021 at 15:09 #1546731Watch the last few strides before the winning post. PL veers more but still gets up.
June 19, 2021 at 15:11 #1546732The 2nd is an exceptional horse they pulled clear of the rest. No problem for the goat however.
