I just thought I would list my three wishes for the Festival this year………
WISH NUMBER ONE
That we see some fantastic performances that leave you gob smacked or open mouthed (Vautour in the Gold Cup would do)
WISH NUMBER TWO
That all the brave warriors that try so hard and put in lung bursting efforts come back safe.
WISH NUMBER THREE
That I show a profit which I was lucky enough to do last year mainly by getting the exacta Darna to beat Monetaire which paid over four hundred quid!!
It would be nice to see and hear of some of the other posters wishes for this momentous occasion.

Wish No.1: That Alpha Des Obeaux wins the world hurdle for Mouse Morris after a tough year for him.
Wish No.2: That Balthazar KIng runs well in the cross country after I was afraid he’d never race again.
Wish No.3: That I’m not wrong on my two owner accum which I’m super sweet on:- On the fringe, Yanworth, Douvan, Limini!!!
That every stable lad or lass who loads their pride and joy into the horsebox doesn’t walk off the track carrying an empty bridle and a heavy heart.
Wish 1: All horses and jockeys come home safe
Wish 2: Camera batteries last on the day I’m there, also sunshine

1. Another vote for all horses to come back in one piece.
2. That Channel 4 don’t mess about with camera angles. Yes, we know you’ve got a camera way up there in the sky, but would you mind not using it during the bloody race. Please. There can’t possibly be one viewer who wants to see you use it. Seriously, please.
3. Cause of Causes to romp The Kim Muir. That’s not really a wish, as it’s going to happen.
4. That Channel 4 don’t have a camera trained on Martin Keighley in the paddock with connections during every race that he’s got a runner in. Why they do it is a mystery, somebody really should tell them to stop it. Why the obsession with Keighley, god only knows.

The “machine” is almost in love with him.
I wish for good ground on the opening day for the first race. And wish for good ground all week as I would love to see Vautour produce a performance akin to his last two triumphs at the festival.
And I wish everyone a very lucky Cheltenham….happy punting and quality racing!
Can’t wait…No1 is a gimmie….horses and jockeys to all come back in one piece and without injury.
2. Close Brothers to change their mind on not coming up with the £1,000,000 bonus for
winning the Imperial Cup and a race at the festival, AFFAIRE D’HONNEUR to win said Imperial
Cup and chance his arm in the County Hurdle. (does that count as more than 1 wish )3. The weather God’s are good to me and let gold Cup day be a lovely sunny (or at least dry)

Wish 1, Cue Card 14/1 finally gets the recognition he deserves when winning the Gold cup from ‘Vautour’ after another dual up the hill this time.
Wish 2, Willie Mullins has 10 Winners and No more as that would be greedy.
Wish 3, Black Hercules8/1 any race. just turns up as he’s entered in everything.
Wish 4,More of that14/1 goes 5/1fav for next years Gold cup after winning on the bridle.
Wish 5,Dodging Bullets 12/1 proves his distractors wrong….Again!
Wish 6,Rock the Kasbah 16/1 goes 12/1 fav for 2017 JLT after winning the Coral Cup.
Wish 7,Vibrato Valtat 33/1,finally runs over his ideal trip.
Wish 8,Saphir du rheu wins World hurdle at 33/1 for me.
Wish 9,Holywell 16/1 wins a handicap!! Imagine what price the 3 in front of him from last years Gold cup would be with top weight!
Wish 10, Johns spirit16/1 does what GMOOH does and saves his best effort for the festival.
Wish 11,Yorkhill 9/1 proves better than Min.
Wish 12,All yours wins County hurdle at 33/1 for me.
Wish 13,My tent or yours or Peace and co 33/1 each win Champion hurdle.
Wish 14,Eastlake20/1 finally wins Grand annual.
Wish 15,Henderson wins Triumph hurdle.
Wish 16, Hoping that at least 14 of the above come true!You don’t ask for much Gord.

I was going to put up one of my wishes as…..
“I hope Channel 4, on the morning of Day 1, don’t waste 5 minutes showing a bunch of jockeys going round an indoor Go-Track Course, getting sent on their way by Clare F’cking Balding, with Nick Luck commentating”
but I thought that would be silly, as CH4 wouldn’t be that stupid to do a feature like that. That would be insulting to their viewers.
