Bookmaker offers are only there to get mug punters to have more bets. The idea that the bookies are giving anything away for free is crazy.
So Cork you think people on here aren’t capable of taking advantage of a companies promotions during Cheltenham? Myself and I’m sure others on here have been doing it for years.
No one ever said the bookies are giving away things for free.
There really is a depressing, negative attitude on here recently surely brought on by the last few years we’ve had to endeavour.
Yes, I expect most people here are better clued up punters than most. But we all know why bookmakers make these offers. They are not in the business of giving money away.
I just find these offers where the bookies portray themselves as nice, kind people giving everyone a “free” bet a little hard to take when, if a customer shows any pattern of winning or getting on at best prices, they are restricted.
Couldn’t agree more to be fair, makes me angry whenever I see bookmakers adverts plastered all over any sport that’s on TV, especially like you say with how ‘chummy’ the companies portray themselves.
Cheltenham racecourse are doing a special offer whereby you have to pay an additional £20 on top of your club enclosure ticket to be able to take advantage of the seating in the grandstand to watch the racing.
As special offers go that one really does take your breath away.
I remember when Coral went evens on Sprinter Sacre and their website crashed for the rest of the meeting afterwards..

I think a large reason why there’s supposedly a “depressing, negative attitude” on these boards is because most of us are middle-aged men.
