Less than a week now to Cheltenham Folks
March 6, 2024 at 10:51 #1683766Rules
You select 1 horse in each race over the course of the meeting
In one race per day you can select 2 horses
You may chose 1 nap per day (please make clear)
NAP selections score double for WIN ONLY
You can pick a next best (NB) as a reserve for your Nap in case of being a non runner
If Nap is a N/R and your NB is a non runner the reserve of your Nap will become the Nap.
(no reserve no nap)Entries have to be in before first race of each day, if for whatever reason you are late
post your entries still for later races which will be accepted but you will get hit with
10% point deduction for that day Strictly no Edits after the off time of 1st race, all
points on that day will be deducted You may included as many reserves as you like but
cannot add any after the time of the first raceSELECTIONS

JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 7, 2024 at 02:59 #1683841I’m mega grateful Raymo that you and Mrs Raymo are running the
Cheltenham competition, it’s the jewel in the Crown of jumps
racing. I’ll definitely have a crack at it, well Im sitting
here at 3am (well propped up in bed) still going through themYou are both stars
March 7, 2024 at 07:26 #1683848Thanks Jac and Graham and RTB and Nath.
And Neil just to explain about the cakes. Myself and Tracey (Mrsraymo ) hav a competition every year and the winner gets cakes and the loser has to buy them . The cakes are always of the winners choice.Five more sleeps folks
Bo Rolf defending his title
And Jac so is mine Tracey is better than me at picking winners over the sticksMarch 7, 2024 at 11:22 #1683856I knew that, just teasing. Anyway it’ll be crumbs if sent by Royal Mail.
Anyway thanks for holding the competition, looking forward to competing.
I always look forward to Cheltenham since backing Silver Buck in 1982, plus it means winter is ending, and it’s been a bad one this time.
The best things in life are free.
But you can give them to the birds and bees.March 7, 2024 at 16:04 #1683875It certainly has ben a bad one Neil and I think we all could do with cheering up one way or another and hopefully Cheltenham will be the start of of it Or a lottery win
March 7, 2024 at 16:11 #16838771982 SILVER BUCK now that is a blast from the past. Wasn’t 82 the year of JP’s first winner? And maybe Crimson Embers winning the stayers too? If I have the year right that is about all I remember of 1982
March 8, 2024 at 23:25 #1684065The best weeks racing of the year! Love this comp. Thanks Raymo & Tracey (Mrs Raymo)!
March 9, 2024 at 08:35 #1684097Three more sleeps folks
March 9, 2024 at 08:36 #1684098I was thinking of doing another competition to see if anyone could pick horses to finish last
March 9, 2024 at 17:21 #1684240Thanks for doing the comp again. Watched endless festival previews which threw up very little I didn’t know. Very few mentioned the ground which could be a big factor IMHO. Hopefully mullins has settled on what he’s doing so we can get a handle on the fields. No point looking at it until then.Good luck everybody.
March 10, 2024 at 10:01 #1684315We’ll put up a £20 free bet on the Grand National to the winner of this one.
I’m going to put up an another Cheltenham competition later today with another £20 free Grand National bet but it’ll be restricted to 16 entries with the first 16 to reply when I put the topic up in the Competitions forum getting an entry so keep an eye out.
