Well another Cheltenham festival is over but only 12months until next year so hear my bets for 2023
JONBON 12/1 Arkle
Not look a strong stayer over further think 2m over fences his bag next year built to be a chaser be very good in this.
SIR GEHARD 20/1 Champion hurdle EW
Be hard beat the 1st two horses who both unbeaten but may get 3rd. doubt at his age go over fences. Be 8 next year a drop back to 2m
Was 20/1 before ballymoreBRAVESMANGAME 22/1 Gold Cup boosted price
Put him up for Brown advisory this time last year at a similar and was faultless until the rain appear. Many expect him to win King George. And maybe missing big race this week may be a blessing in the long term.
What your bets guys
March 18, 2022 at 18:45 #1588719I imagine they.ll be a few doubles/trebles on Constitution hill , Allaho and GDC for the Gold cup
March 18, 2022 at 19:57 #1588764Iv just had a few throwaway doubles and trixies
Featuring
Constitution hill 5/2(champion hurdle)
Galopin des champs 6/1 (ryanair)
Sir Gerhard 5/1(arkle)
Facile vega 4/1(supreme)
American Mike 10/1 (ballymore)
Rivier detel 7/1(mares chase)
Luccia 10/1(mares novice hurdle)
Flooring Porter 5/1(Stayers hurdle)
Lhomme presse 12/1(gold cup)Just lots of little doubles with the spare change left in my accounts after this week so money I’m happy to throw away
Luccia isn’t the type of one I’d normally do but she’s looked an absolute weapon so far. Can see her bolting up in the Aintree mares bumper and being a lot shorter than 10s.
March 18, 2022 at 21:31 #1588791I’ve gone with Constitution Hill in the Arkle. Just a hunch and one which is probably hilariously wrong.

So don't run, just like the others always do
March 19, 2022 at 05:12 #1588836Allaho (Ryanair) 100-1 Free Bet. Cash out profit guaranteed if injured.

March 19, 2022 at 08:04 #1588850Ah but TTC, if the rest of the forum backs Galopin des Champs for the Ryanair, and he sweeps all before him next season, starts fav for the race (ridden by Rachael Blackmore) and goes stride for stride with Allaho the whole way round, putting in the most majestic display of jumping Cheltenham has ever seen before forging ahead with a prodigious, breathtaking leap at the last and powering up the hill to win in course record time earning the highest Timeform NH rating ever…
…will you write…
Wd winners.

March 19, 2022 at 10:35 #1588888I can see Gaillard Du Mesnil being held back for a second novice chase campaign and being aimed at the NH Chase. I can’t see a market for that race yet but he’s still a maiden after another good third in the Browns.

You won’t be the only one
I did that pre Cheltenham in a double with Honeysuckle
albeit before seeing him demolish the track in the style of a Champion hurdlerBlackbeard to conquer the World
March 19, 2022 at 11:00 #1588897The reason I went champion hurdle for him was simply that he’s not very big
Dysart dynamo and jonbon dwarfed him at the start when they were lined up next to each other
March 19, 2022 at 11:58 #1588914JP will def want Jonbon over a fence , I imagine Nicky will be selling the CH hard to constition owners , plus the return of Shiskin ….Nicky will want to prove a point after Wed
March 19, 2022 at 13:16 #1588956Backed Jonbon for the Arkle at 14/1.
Looking at the horses above him in the market: I think Constitution Hill and Sir Gerhard are very unlikely to run, Appreciate It may go down the Turners route and Dysart Dynamo looks like a bit of a lunatic.
Also backed Monkfish at 16/1 for the Gold Cup.
He is the forgotten horse. He has to prove his wellbeing after injury but if he is able to come back in the same form then he is considerably overpriced.
March 19, 2022 at 13:25 #1588961Why is sir gerhard “very unlikely to run”?
Id have the arkle as his likeliest destination by some distance myself
March 19, 2022 at 13:33 #1588963Mullins sounded like he was seriously considering the Champion Hurdle.
March 19, 2022 at 23:16 #1589031Skybet have the win “any race” market up. Done me a big favour having Sir Gerhard any race last year.
Constitution Hill, GDC and Facile Vega all to win any race at 25s has been played
Blackbeard to conquer the World
March 20, 2022 at 08:00 #1589064Saw Flooring Porter 6/1 with WilliamHill yesturday, think that’s crazy big so will do a little more research and might put a bet on it today, the horse has won well 2 years on the trot and was definitely not stopping at the line this year, can’t see why they can’t repeat the performance next year, are the odds that big because people think it won’t be given an easy lead next year? Either way I think 6/1 is still very fair, would be 2/1 if it was a Champion Hurdle or if it was trained by Mullins or Hendo, especially considering there’s no obvious Novice to take his throne, I’d imagine The Nice Guy goes chasing and at 10/1 im thinking about backing that horse for the RSA next year.
March 20, 2022 at 08:08 #1589065Also very tempted to go hard on Consititution Hill, 5/2 best price atm will look an absolute steal when it wins next year, will have to get on soon if it takes on Honeysuckle next month, if it doesn’t then at least we have 6 months to put the bet on can’t see it going shorter than 2/1 over summer if it sits out the rest of the year and I’d take 2/1 worst case scenario. Wouldn’t normally take a horse so short this far in advance but when you get a freak horse you have to make the most and pile on before it becomes 1/10 every race.
