The other horse I like is Bellshill, who looked a different horse for the step up in trip last year. He could go a number of routes though, and given connections, he doesn’t make as much appeal at this stage, at around the same price as Zig, and I’d be happy to take half the price later on if he appeared to be going World Hurdle route.
I hopeful that Bellshill can improve again this term.
The step up has been the key, he seems more stamina than speed.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
September 27, 2016 at 19:16 #1264948Yeah definitely Nathan.
If you remember I put him up as my lay of the festival last season, as he seemed miles short of what was required for The Supreme or Neptune. I very rarely lay, unless to lay off an existing bet, but he was one of only 4 lay bets I did last year, for those 2 novice events, and I didn’t have too much too worry about.
I didn’t give him much chance at Aintree either to be fair, but he was a revelation there, and at Puchestown. I really hope they take this route with him, as it looks perfect for him. Unfortunately though, there’ll be a lot of shuffling before then
September 28, 2016 at 17:21 #1265005In the light of the Gigginstown / Mullins split I have thrown a few quid at Vautour to win the Triple Crown at 33/1. Not only does he not have to keep as many of the horses apart now, he will be aiming at every big race he can get with Ricci’s horses to outdo Gigginstown. And a 1 million carrot dangling now he’s lost 60 horses, I’d say there is a fair chance he may go for it…..and I believe Vautour to be good enough.

Best of luck Jamie, though I would think the biggest risk in this is Vautour running in the Betfair Chase.

I’d say that the biggest risk is Vautour running out of stamina from the second last in the Gold Cup…
September 29, 2016 at 12:57 #1265078There’s risk in any bet, but I think Mullins would be mad to not have a go at it…it’s a million quid, not to be scoffed at….

October 2, 2016 at 20:59 #1265476Bacardys 12/1 to win any race.
I was tempted at 10s but now sky have pushed out to 12s seemingly after grotesques poor run. I want him onside at that price.Solid horse won the aintree bumper in between running a very creditable 3rd in both champion bumpers.
I’m personally taken with his consistency and the way he found plenty for pressure against battleford.
Visually I’d say the Albert bartlett would be right up his street
And as with any novice in the to win any race marked you have the added backup of the Martin pipe or coral cup.October 5, 2016 at 00:27 #1265673I love Killultagh Vic but he’s as yet really unproven, although he’s a huge price with a mass load of potential. The dour stayer I love as a Gold Cup type is Native River. For me he’s the likeliest Gold Cup horse of the Tizzard trio. Given his type he can cream the Hennessy off 154. I’ve got 16s for that, 33s for Cheltenham and 125/1 for the double (I should’ve shopped around, you know me
). Game on boysOctober 5, 2016 at 21:01 #1265742Annie Power Champion Hurdle 4/1
Vroum Vroum Mag Ryanair 10/1I am confident RR will give AP a crack to defend her title. He always seems more emotional with her than any of his other horses and I think that CH performance, coupled with the comments that faugheen may go up in trip, leaves this the race for her. 4/1 is decent IMO
Vroum Vroum Mag will go chasing this season, I am confident of that and I think the Ryanair is the perfect race for her. The horses ahead of her in the market will all run elsewhere. Douvan will go CC, Vautour will both go GC – Black Hercules is the only one to worry about, but I think 10/1 is a decent
October 9, 2016 at 08:59 #1266331Identify thief to win any race 14/1.
Set for his novice chase debut in the coming week.
Grade 1 winner and very consistently running to a high mark over hurdles.
Put it up to vroum vroum mag at punchestown giving her mares allowance. And if vroum vroum mag was still a novice people would be jumping over them selves to back her at a lot shorter prices.
Likely to go he arkle route.
But could end up anywhere.October 9, 2016 at 19:50 #1266456Traffic Fluide at 33-1 for champion chase is my only bet so far. I’ll be sure to add a few more before Xmas though.
October 16, 2016 at 14:53 #1267486Invitation only and battleford both 10/1 to win any race at hills. Is very fair Imo. And Will deffinately be contesting different races at the festival.
Slightly tempted by barters hill any race at 14s but I will leave that one.
Antepost singles so far.
Invitation only any race 10/1
Battleford any race 10/1
Bacardys any race 12/1
Blow by blow any race 14/1
Moon racer supreme 16/1
Jenkins supreme 25/1
Death duty Albert bartlett 25/1
Altior arkle 4/1
Yorkhill jlt 6/1
Identify thief any race 14/1
Augusta kate mares novice 10/1October 17, 2016 at 14:18 #1267595Rocky, I might join in with that Battleford bet. I hope this is ok. He’ll surely be a member of the Mullins merry go round in the future months, and 10-1 takes away any worry over targets. I think it is a sensible path you’re on with him.
I’ve added to my Traffic Fluide bet. Blaklion at 33-1 for The Gold Cup. That price seems accurate at this moment, but it is more with a view to a win in The Hennessy Gold Cup, or The Betfair Chase.
