Chelmsford are poised to transfer to Racing UK as yet another SIS shareholder, Betfred the owners of Chelmsford consider joining their SIS partners Leicester & Stratford on the rival channel.
The bookies who have shares in SIS are certainly dumping on ATR big time.
Also Racing UK may change its name to reflect its more international offering and Ruby Walsh, the mouthpiece of Racing UK is claiming the timings of irish racing will be reflected in the addition to the station to avoid clashes.

February 5, 2018 at 10:32 #1340925Unwelcome but thankfully Chelmsford races under lights in the evening mostly so won’t tarnish the core Jumps action.
Sensible re the times, Irish courses will have to co-operate more than they sometimes do at present.
What might the new name be? Post your suggestions here!

Surely a second channel is needed for RUK.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 5, 2018 at 10:56 #1340929From what I have read SIS now have 99% of the bookmakers signed up to them in the UK just a few independents now holding out, the have all of the irish tracks with the rights to do as they wish with the tv rights and they have RUK signed up exclusively to them, seems SIS have been plotting for some time and now have the upper hand in both the UK and Ireland.
No wonder the SIS shareholders like Ladbrokes and Betfred and the racecourses are so keen to push ATR under the water and let them drowned.
Whoever has been plotting at SIS should be on for a hefty payrise Ireland have been duped (questions being asked how HRI/AIR let SIS take control so easily) and now the UK authorities seem to have been duped as well. SIS now owns nearly everything in UK and irish racing media rights and who saw that coming?
ATR and Sky would do well to just walk away and let the racing fester behind Racing UK.
