The Grinch That Stole The Tingle Creek
Week 2
Nathan Hughes narrowly leads the way after week 1’s Christmas Lunch. Now it’s time to sit down and watch a post-dinner Christmas movie.
This week the competition revolves around the TINGLE CREEK CHASE at Sandown and all you have to do is predict the finishing order of all the runners in the race.
You’ll start with 20 points – each horse’s finishing position you predict correctly you have no points deducted, if you predict one place away (for example you predict Fox Norton will be second and he is third) you lose one point, if you are two places away (predict 1st and he comes 3rd) you lose two points and so on for each horse.
So, you just predict the finishing position for EVERY RUNNER IN THE RACE.
Where does the GRINCH come into it – well, we need to find the 2017 TRF Grinch so anyone who fails to correctly predict at least one finishing position correctly will be put into a draw and the person drawn out will be banished to Mount Crumpit and will be KNOCKED OUT of this year’s competition and won’t be able to take part in the final week. (If you all predict at least one correctly then I’LL be th Grinch for coming up with such a stupid concept in the first place.
Place your entries in the thread below and good luck all.
Perfect Christmas reading …
The Winter Guide is the ideal reading companion for the long dark evenings over the Christmas and New Year holiday. It is packed with absorbing features including:
Marten’s Mid-Season Review (observations on the season to date); Marten’s Cheltenham Ante-Post Preview (a few ante-post suggestions for the Cheltenham Festival); Marten’s Premier List Update (updated news and thoughts on the horses that Marten featured in the Premier List section of the Dark Horses Jumps Guide); Marten’s Holiday Preview (an assessment of the top races, including the King George VI Chase, over Christmas and into the New Year); Marten’s Eyecatchers (horses that have caught Marten’s eye for the second half of the season – recent winners at 14/1, 8/1, 7/1, 5/1, 9/2 etc); Jodie’s Point-to-Point Review (Jodie passes on her thoughts on how her point-to-pointers from the Dark Horses Jumps Guide have performed) and others to be decided.
Also includes an interview with a top jockey about his prospects.December 8, 2017 at 17:27 #1330994Surely The Grinch is Willie Mullins….

You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.December 9, 2017 at 00:38 #13310821. Fox Norton
