Change of conditions to Pertemps Hurdle Final

Finally a bit of sensible decision making by the powers that be in racing, horses now must finish in first 4 of a qualifier not the first 6 to make the final. Means they’ll get bigger fields (in theory) for the qualifiers as horses need to try again to qualify more often. Also I’ve never bet on a qualifier before because you can’t trust that a horse was trying to even place let alone win one, now the each-way side of things looks a lot rosier even if you’re taking your chances a bit with the win.

It is a good decision. As much as I like the Pertemps Final, the qualifiers were a minefield and a Rogue’s Charter.

Maybe they will still be a minefield to an extent but not quite as much.
