Why is Brighterdaysahead such a big price ?
November 21, 2025 at 19:59 #1745188Going chasing apparently
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
November 22, 2025 at 01:38 #1745208She does not handle Cheltenham also , so much so they should change her name to chicken and tuna ……
November 22, 2025 at 09:47 #1745226I disagree that she doesn’t like Cheltenham. Second to Golden Ace now looks like fair form and she was over the top by March last season, having run that ridiculous race at Leopardstown
Chasing – I know they mentioned it but she hasn’t jumped a fence in public yet and Elliott says he’s unsure when we see her, so at what point do connections look at a Champion Hurdle without State Man, possibly one or two of next week’s Fighting Fifth runners having underperformed, and decide to give it a other try ? Obviously in that scenario that might just go Mares Hurdle but she’s massive odds so a few quid seems worth it to me.
November 22, 2025 at 13:04 #1745266I suspect Brighterdaysahead busted herself with that big Leopardstown win. No matter how easy it looks, you cannot run those sort of figures without paying the price – assuming you are not something very special. If he gets her back, she could resume progress.
November 22, 2025 at 14:43 #1745320She had 2 and a half months to recover so I don’t agree with that , is it not telling that Elliott doesn’t seem keen to have another go
November 24, 2025 at 19:27 #1745539Some horses have taken a season to recover
November 24, 2025 at 20:26 #1745546We,’ll know more when we see her run , I’d be watching rather than playing
November 25, 2025 at 12:54 #1745563Don’t normally touch ante post but I am tempted by the 40s for Alexei.
The more I know the less I understand.
November 29, 2025 at 17:19 #1746137Lossiemouth generally 7/4, Alexei between 20/1 and 25/1. Backed the latter EW at 22/1.
Sir Gino only around 10/1 but off the track for roughly a year with no targets revealed. It will be a bookies race for sure. I mean a good one.Good job RTB for securing the 40/1.
November 29, 2025 at 17:32 #1746140It’s a nice price but still needs to find a load of improvement , the prob with Lossiemouth is you can’t trust Willie to run her here
November 29, 2025 at 18:39 #1746152If Anzadam doesn’t step up, he will have to run her. What else does he have for the race?
November 29, 2025 at 20:14 #1746162Kargese, would need to improve a chunk. She’s young enough to, but has spent 2 full seasons pulling hard over hurdles so if she hasn’t learned to drop it by now, she might not ever- Echoes In Rain never did
Ballyburn, if he happens to grab the bridle, put his head on the floor and and tear off hurdling fast and well tomorrow, cruising so fast that nothing can live with him and winning eased down and plan changes from 2.5-3mile hurdler to 2-2.5mile horse.
Um…Salvator Mundi? V doubtful, having schooled and raced him over fences, not sure if you could get him back down racing and jumping like a champion hurdler in 2 runs.
Um….Mystical Power resurrecting his career and being a very unlikely supersub (got a supersub mum I suppose but her son is underachieving and letting the family down in open company so far)
One of those Flat hybrid types improving like about 3 stone out of nowhere?
Irancy’s pan flashing twice?
Whatever he’s got cooking for the County this year getting a big early promotion?
I think the bottom of the barrel is pretty thoroughly scraped after that.November 29, 2025 at 22:53 #1746193Kargese, possibly. The others, no.
November 30, 2025 at 05:02 #1746201Why does Willie look elsewhere , he has Lossiemouth , it’s simple .. , a lot easier to find something for the jar hurdle
November 30, 2025 at 08:00 #1746204I think she comes here now unless Anzadam improves a bit. I keep thinking back to the Annie Power year and he will do it if what he has isn’t enough. We forget in that year he still had Nichols Canyon who was a grade 1 winner over the trip, but if he’d relied on Nichols Canyon he probably would have lost to My Tent Or Yours and I say probably because Tent was as likely to finish 2nd to anything than win.
Anzadam needs to improve a lot. He wasn’t beaten far by the champion hurdle winner but she didn’t beat Winter Fog that far in the Champion Hurdle and that is the standard we’re working off here potentially. The bar is pretty low. If Sir Gino or somebody like that was put in they’d be close to favourite probably.
November 30, 2025 at 08:33 #1746207I believe connections would be crazy not to go for this race with Sir Gino.
It looks like the earliest he will be back on track is Christmas. That only allows time for two runs.
Do they really want to go for the Champion Chase with only three starts over fences?
If he runs here, they can give him only one preparation run or even make it his seasonal debut.
I took the 16/1 when it was available and have topped up with the 10/1 this morning. If he runs here, I believe he will go off much shorter.
