Broke down in the 2.55 Newcastle and was sharply pulled up by Hollie Doyle. RIP. Confirmed on ITV.
I am afraid I am turning against doyle. Catbird Seat was alive an hour ago; she has just won the Plate and clearly couldn’t care less about the poor dead horse.
I had backed Trueshan but cannot take any pleasure in his magnificent performance; I am sickened; she also seemed to kick Trueshan a lot; not pretty.She has to be professional, I am sure she was saddened by the death but she he can’t just break into tears every a horse dies on TV.
Agree Crepello. The loss of any horse is sad for everyone concerned, especially whoever is riding but I’m not sure we’d have seen this sort of post if the jockey had been male.
Agree crepello, rather harsh thing to say I thought. Like you say end day she has a job to do. No doubt she will be upset and once riding day over it be on her mind.

Was watching on big screen from Newmarket, commentator took a moment to look back but reported it was a sorry sight and knew no hope for this poor boy.Regarding Hollie, as Crepello said, she is a true professional, it’s part of her job.
I’m sure like any jockey once she got home and reflected on her day the demise of Catbird Seat would have been uppermost in her thoughts.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
