Really like the chances of both Cepage and Midnight Shadow
December 11, 2020 at 18:22 #1513850As Sky Pirate goes in the 2 mile chase earlier on the card, I’ve gone for what i hope is the solid option with Cepage 10-1, win only.
Also had a small ew nibble on Benatar as i thought 25/1 is very fair, even off the back of a long layoff.
December 12, 2020 at 09:35 #1513908Al Dancer is really popular at the moment, but I’ll go for his stable mate Good Boy Bobby. Only a length down on Mister Fisher over the same course and distance last year. In his last race he was second to Master Tommytucker on level weights, now there is almost a stone between them. I think a very decent EW shot at 12/1 (six places).
Also backed Southfield Stone at 18/1 EW (6 places). He won a novice chase at Cheltenham in October beating Coole Cody quite easily. A month later he wasn’t good enough to challenge Proktektorat, but he was giving him weight and Proktektorat is now one of the favourites for the March chase.
December 12, 2020 at 10:13 #1513916I’m sticking with AL dancer, he,s handicapped to reverse the form with coole cody , and at a bigger price Roman de senam off 138 looks the e.w value , it’s a competitive race
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
December 12, 2020 at 10:31 #1513918Backed Cepage but also had a little each way on Saint Sonnet. The Nicholls team clearly like him and a tongue tie goes on today.
December 12, 2020 at 10:59 #1513928Two many tangled form lines for my liking here and not a race I’ll get involved in. However my top two are still potential progressive:
CHAMPAGNE MYSTERY
SOUTHFIELD STONEConditions don’t worry for either, but if there was a concern its lack of proven form in big field handicap chases. That said, both were quoted double figure prices last time I looked so price more than covers the risk so it’s those two against the field.
December 12, 2020 at 12:58 #1513956This is the type of race where I’d prefer to have two running for me, but I’m particularly keen on Windsor Avenue, and I’ve had a big bet by my standards at 10-1
December 12, 2020 at 13:26 #1513966Sky Pirate just won so has positively advertised the Coole Cody form to a degree. I was on Sky too which was nice
December 12, 2020 at 13:57 #1513980Wd if you found that one.
December 12, 2020 at 13:59 #1513982He was not worried about winning by too far, was he?
December 12, 2020 at 14:00 #1513983Not a penny on him but…
Up the People’s Republic of Cork!!
December 12, 2020 at 14:04 #1513985You’d have thought that’ll be the end of his handicapping days. Rated 141 today; after that demolition job he’s got to be raised towards 160, one would imagine.
Back for the Ryanair in March, perhaps?
December 12, 2020 at 14:06 #1513987Jockey was worried about his jumping ……I think he was all right lol , sluiced up
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
December 12, 2020 at 14:17 #1513992Correction…they had Mayo hats on
December 12, 2020 at 18:25 #1514043Absolutely thrown in Ireland in his first handicap chase of 118. Seems rather lucrative to just back those Irish horses for the big handicaps at Cheltenham. Not only at the Festival.
December 12, 2020 at 20:05 #1514056Especially when its not willie, Gordon or de bromhead
The smaller yards arent sending them over for no reason
The shunter comes to mind
And Mrs Milner was unlucky to just get beat by on the blind side
December 12, 2020 at 20:10 #1514058Yeah I said as much on the thread page 1 FF, thought it was another Shunter profile.
It’s win last time was very comfortable. Not a great jumper but had too much for them today. A nice touch at 22s,20s and 16s
