Just when I’d finished counselling over Mr Capello’s ridiculous £6,000,000 a year salary what about this steady stream of utter nonsense that seems to appear in the papers every day at the moment:
Top BBC performers earn 54 million and the Chief exec is on £600k.
Union leaders routinely earning 6 figure salaries
Assylum seekers in 8k a week property
100 Teachers in London on £100k+ plus 1 primary school teacher earned £237K last year
200K Expenses bill for MPs under new expenses rules accused by an MP of deliberately debating past 1am to trigger claims worth £200k
160 Quango heads are paid more than the PM ( £150k).
1700 Council staff earn more than £100k a year.
£265M was paid to Temporary workers in 08-09 in NH service including £1000 a day for someone to head up cost cutting.
135 million uk contribution to Euro parliament pensions fund.
These are all reported by ‘serious’ newspapers in the last couple of months and if only half of them are 50% accurate it is scandalous but the most worrying thing is that even in the early days of a new government being elected there is no sense in any of these reports that something is going to be done………
Forget talking about public sector workers on low incomes providing worthwhile services losing their jobs and start sorting out the shameful corruption, dishonesty and stupidity that lets the above happen……..and I dare say that there are countless other examples aswell.July 15, 2010 at 19:26 #306701they will sort it out. but when that is the question
