The "best horse he ever trained" will be the next one not a former one.

 The things AOB said about Fame And Glory still make me laugh. "Listen, he has a lot of natural speed"

He’ll win the King George at 14/1 and we’ll all say "how did we not back that ?".

Time might tell that Al Kazeem is a seriously good horse when he’s right and this is as good as Camelot is. I wasn’t impressed (again) with Camelot’s head carriage, and really not sure what to make of him. His form on paper looks decent but dig a little deeper and, as has been pointed out elsewhere on the forum, it is not over-burdened with substance.

I’d be suprised if Camelot didn’t pick up a major Group 1 prize between 10f and 12f this season.

After winning three Classics last season, I doubt Coolmore would have kept him in training at 4yo to potentially damage his reputation, unless they thought he had something else to show.

Main Sequence is running tonight at Sandown. I really hope he gets back to winning ways, I have always liked the horse. As for Camelot, I do not think people realise how traumatic colic surgery is for a horse. I would not be surprised if he was never quite the same horse again. Many horses have to be retired after such surgery as they before prone to life threatening episodes of colic.

Does Camelot look like a horse that would go better on a left handed course?

And Main Sequence gets beaten by a horse who barely seemed Listed class, with an OR of 101.

Just how bad were the fields beaten by Camelot in the classics last year?

Main Sequence fails again as favourite and let’s face it that was group 3 level tonight. In addition Cumani’s horse ran a stinker, and the winner was 5th in the Cambridgeshire on his previous run. Main Sequence should have had an edge with a run already this season compared to the winner who hadn’t run for eight months.

It’s amazing to think that, other than Camelot, only Thoughtworthy has won a race since from last year’s Derby contestants. That got me curious as to which horse was so slow that Thoughtworthy managed to beat him. A quick bit of research gave me the answer……drum roll………it was…..wait for it…… Main Sequence!!

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

I’ve no idea how you can tell that by looking at a horse, but maybe the Arlington Million is worth a shot.

In the racing post comments in running, it states that in the Irish Derby he "Jinked left" and in the Curragh Gold Cup he "Edged left under pressure"

I think his best performances were in the Epsom Derby and coming second to Enke in the St Leger, both on left handed tracks.

I reckon he’d be perfect for Bangor :P
