Really lost my way with this race the last few years, but first one to jump out is Faylak at 100’s. Disappointed me at York, but happy to have a few quid Antepost at those odds. Fight to get in mind you off current mark.
He runs in The Silver Bell on Friday, along with stablemate Geremia, who also has an entry here. Not decided on Hamilton for either of them, but with Faylak 100’s at the moment, that’s enough for an early bet in this.
Also like Empirestateofmind, Gloucestershire, Killybegs Warrior, and The Gatekeeper. Gloucestershire probably my second choice at entry stage.
Faylak 100’s
August 24, 2023 at 08:08 #1660732Had some right luck in this over the years and all of them were the kind of bets that you will never forget, totally forgot about the 20 or so losers for some reason.
Silver Sword ew @ 66’s
On the borderline of getting in looking at the entries and ideally could do with 3 or 4 pounds more to make sure of a run.
Greek Order @ 10’s
Ran in a nice Novice race at Salisbury which is working out well, no idea what has happened to the winner of that race like. Absolutely hosed up last time and been put up 10 pounds, if he has more in the locker or not we will find out but he does look to of been well set up for this. Just one of those really, either he has 10 pound in hand still or he doesn’t.
August 26, 2023 at 19:56 #1661271I’d put up Ancient Rome for this but – and I’m not gonna lie – that rogue “e” in the thread title is a definite red light.

September 5, 2023 at 17:31 #1661956Weights out.
I’m in again Silver Sword ew @ 25’s. I wonder what price he would be if he was trained by Gosden or someone

September 5, 2023 at 17:46 #1661958Silver Sword 25-1 ew 5 places for now. I’ll be on weather watch nearer the time.
September 26, 2023 at 19:05 #1664531Greek Order has been at the front of the market since the entries came out, and though I think that it’s a short price in a race like this, I think that he can win this, and possibly in good style too. I already have an ap losin bet, so I will gamble and see if I can beat the best price of 9-2 just now
September 28, 2023 at 13:39 #1664663Majestic 25s, for me.
I’m likely to ‘go in’ again on Saturday morning.
Best of luck to all
September 28, 2023 at 16:13 #1664675He’s no price, but Greek Order looks the latest in a long line of Group horses masquerading as handicappers in this race.
September 29, 2023 at 00:08 #1664750Topped up a few quid on Faylaq this week, and also took him EW Eight Places.
Really unusual for me in this race last year, when I didn’t actually have a bet, but the one I did consider was Geremia. Always hesitant to bet him, given how poor he is out the stalls, but he ran a cracker on the wrong side. Still haven’t bet him for The Cesarewitch, which I really like him for, but I can’t let him go here after his run last year. Poor out the stalls or not, I’ve started chipping away. Wanted to add him EW Eight Places, but Skybet only 40’s. Win only at moment up to 120’s, but plan is too add him EW
After swerving the race completely last year, trying to convince myself that three in this is acceptable, and Killybegs Warrior is of interest. I’ll decide Saturday with him
Faylaq 100’s EW8Pls/160’s
Geremia EW/280’sSeptember 29, 2023 at 08:57 #1664772My pin has landed on Crack Shot 18-1 ew 8 places
September 29, 2023 at 13:04 #1664787Some great prices there. Draw data for me the stalls have provided winners in the 20s every year since 2016
26,21, 25,29,21,29,28.September 29, 2023 at 17:31 #1664814Matt Brocklebank makes a convincing case from a value viewpoint for Carolus Magnus. 100s has gone, but shreds of 66 still out there. As low as 22s.
September 29, 2023 at 20:44 #1664851I am rather envious of Botchy’s 10/1 for Greek Order!
I agree with Kris and Glad. He looks like the Group horse in a handicap and I cannot see one that is going to beat him. 7/2 might look a bit short now but it won’t be if he wins and I think he will.
September 30, 2023 at 00:10 #1664890Bopedro and Killybegs Warrior for me.
Looking forward to this one..

The things I want most in life are the things that I can't win.
September 30, 2023 at 11:54 #16649563 for me.
Majestic 25s and a 2nd bet at 18s
Bopedro 18s
Faylaq 100s (each way)Best of luck to all
