That’s more like it, big lad!
Travelled well. Jumping back to it’s best.
Graham Lee is probably the ideal jockey for him. Let’s hope he goes on from here.
December 12, 2009 at 15:37 #263550See that last jump!! Wow! springed over it with ears pricked. Beautiful mover, will be watching him closely this season
December 12, 2009 at 15:49 #263553Different class! TAPK backed him over a year ago for the 2010 Gold Cup,so had to keep the faith today at 16/1! It breaks a run of seconditas too with Thetotherone,Celestial Halo and Razor Royale! He"s a beast on his day!
December 12, 2009 at 18:44 #263578I love the horse, he is one of my favourites.
I do think he has a touch of class about him too.
Very nice performance, what a price too.
December 12, 2009 at 19:02 #263584Another fan, delighted to see him do well today, he was my phantom bet of the day. Nice looking horse, has shown a lot of promise, hopefully on the comeback trail. Lovely ride by Mr Lee too.
December 12, 2009 at 23:37 #263615I mentioned, after either Cheltenham or Aintree last season, that Hen should keep this horse between two miles-four / five and an easy three miles this season.
He wasn’t strong enough to see out two miles-four as a rather backward novice hurdler and after restoring the horses confidence today, the last thing he needs is slog.
He’ll stay three miles plus in time, but there are plenty of races available to him over the afforementioned distances before that time comes.
This horse has a huge amount of natural talent, it’s his mind they need to look after. He’s certainly better than what he raced against today. Would love to see him over the National fences one day.
Let’s just hope he can continue on an upward curve.
December 13, 2009 at 00:09 #263618Yes, agree with the above – something very likeable about the horse.
December 13, 2009 at 13:52 #263668I only seem to come on here when i’ve backed a 14-1 winner. So that’ll be Thursday,Friday and Saturday this week, i’ve probably used up my luck for the rest of 2009 at least.
The horse is pure class on good ground , i would put him in the Gold Cup picture on good ground and he’s only six !
December 13, 2009 at 14:24 #263671Did Henrietta say where he would be heading next?
The Sky Bet Chase seems an obvious target at the end of January over the same course and distance.
December 13, 2009 at 14:27 #263672What was wrong with the horse in its last race of last season and its first this season.
Glad he has turned it around.

Agreed Bos,he could do an "An Accordion" and win the William hill chase at the festival as well! 11-12lb to this fellow is like 11-00lb to any other handicapper!Could he still be a Gold cup horse though??
December 13, 2009 at 17:53 #263711It was a lovely performance to watch. There may have been a few better horses running on Saturday but none as good to watch. He didn`t carry any money of mine either
January 28, 2012 at 21:49 #388816Here’s a thread i’ve dug out from 2009 and guess what? The 3 Musketeers all posted, TAPK, Gaz’s Way de Solzen, and Bosranic! Loyalty or what?
January 29, 2012 at 09:55 #388869Two horses I’ve followed over a cliff for several seasons and they both win on the same day [Kangaroo Court being the other….]. I’d love to see CB win the National for Hen and Terry. It’d be like a sketch from Spitting Images, not a dry eye in the house, including me! [going to see the Stranglers next month, gord?…]
