Thyme Hill may have spent too much time hurdling with a view to this race, no 9 year old has won this century. No Kempton Kauto Star Novices Chase winner has won this race also, the form of which is hard to gauge anyway as the favourite got injured. And backers will be hoping he jumps like he did at Kempton and not like Newbury. I’ve liked the horse as i backed him in the Albert Bartlett and all the stayers hurdles. He just doesn’t fit the profile of a typical Brown Advisory winner.

I’m as much interested in the horses who will likely finish in behind the first couple today.
Adamantly Chosen = next year’s National winner? I am Maximus, by Authorized out of a Poliglote mare and not quite top class, clearly having a school round the Old Course for the NH chase next year, Willie practically said as much in his Sporting Life column. Amirite is a good jumper, I wonder how his career will develop.

I agree with Mike about Thyme Hill, too small, too hurdle-y, too old.

6 year olds don’t win this race either, except when they’re trained by Willie Mullins…I do have ew hopes for Bronn and might top up on him.

Sir Gerhard needs to jump better but he,s the class act here , e.w The real whacker jumping should see him involved , he might get done up the hill though

Had a NRNB a couple of weeks ago on Galia Des Liteaux, but it’s drifting in the betting, like the proverbial barge, at the mo

Bronn is 70-1 . What an insult, I’m going back in ew and got him in an ew double with Captain Cody in the bumper too, and another with Westport Cove.

    Thyme hill for me.

I’m ready for a number 2 and I might as well use the slip as a costly piece of toilet roll!

Thyme Hill is a horse I’ve always liked, so I’ve had a late bet on him at 8-1

Is that classed as a British or Irish winner?

Thanks Grass for your suggestion; thought the fav was over-rated, so was looking for something else, P Power had Bronn at 90-1!

I know, I went in again!! He’s a year younger than the other two and jumped brilliantly, I’ll be all over him for the Gold Cup next year.

Well done anyone on the winner, great stuff.
