The only antepost bet I have had so far is Beauport in this at 20/1, just have a feeling this lad could be the best horse NTD has trained for many a year.

He’s always looked a chaser and I thought his debut effort over fences at Carlisle a few weeks back was excellent. I know he was getting 12lb off the second but Millers Bank is a much more experienced grade 1 winner, even if it was a weak G1, and the way those two pulled away from the others was pretty impressive.

Think he’s only going to get better when they eventually step him up to three miles as well and there is no stand out contender for this race yet.

Tough race tomorrow trying to give weight to Stage Star and Camprond but if he comes through it then it’s all systems go, either that or my slip could be in the bin by 2pm!

Same here Moyenne, bet him couple of weeks back. Not even concerned if he loses tomorrow, but need a good run at least. I think he’s got a great chance of coming here, and he’s worth a bet

Three of the Mullins novice chasers I’m most looking forward to out in one race today. Trainer comments suggest Minella Cocooner might stay at 2.5. Of the other two, I have Whadeawant for the BANC in a few multiples. I don’t think he’s likely to win today over the shorter trip so left him alone as a single bet for now.

I’m really interested in Classic Getaway. He ran well in the AB before stopping dead due to bleeding. I wonder if the big beast had a wind problem as the primary cause. Race preview comments from the stable have said that he’s a good jumper and, although he might not have an electric turn of foot I think he could turn out to be a good big galloping chaser. He jumped well for his P2P win from what I could see on the shaky nausea inducing video footage and I’ve backed him ew today and taken the 50s for the BANC (well 55s..Paddy Power still indulge me with all the wee sweetie inducements like powerups..which says a bit about my betting success rate).

Should be a very informative race the 12:00 at gowran indeed GAG

One to get the notebook out for, it’ll surely produce a good few graded/big handicap winners this season

Really fancy CG today green, but cant get past the bleeding, hes a chaser through and through and if he can get by without bleeding again (unlikely) id say he could be top drawer

Love the honesty – you won’t get those inducements much longer with calls like that greenasgrass, well done.

Ground was extreme heavy today. Good chase debut from CG, can he maintain the form on nice ground?

Well it’s back to the drawing board after Beauport’s run at Haydock today, my word that was absolutely dreadful!

Serves me right for trusting a Twister horse but I didn’t see a shocker like that coming after the good run at Carlisle.

You’d think gerri would be miles better over further

    Looks a proper staying chaser

I was most impressed by Thyme Hill today. He jumped the last like a fresh horse and looks like he’ll be a fair bit better over fences than hurdles. 10s widely available for this, which I have taken, along with an EW double with Bravemansgame for the Gold Cup – also 10s.

Thyme Hill, rising nine, is slightly late switching to chasing, but any Stayers’ Hurdle runner up would have a chance in this if equally effective over fences.

He certainly jumped better than at Newbury.
