I always like a go at this race, though it’s always one I find a minefield on the day, never mind Antepost.
I’m considering an early play though, but with a risky enough selection. The Joseph O’Brien trained Numerian caught my eye at Dundalk more than once, and he’s a proper Notebook horse of mine. He hasn’t really caught my eye anywhere else, as he’s only ran at Dundalk so far, so who knows how he’ll fare on turf, and although the 33’s is a concern, it also means I don’t have to go mad until he’s declared, and I’m on the verge of going with him.
Beatboxer and Fanaar are also interesting.

June 20, 2019 at 10:40 #1446108King Ademar 12/1
Beat a couple of lengths by King Of Change (2nd in Guineas) FTO this season and then only just beat by Ouzo giving that rival a heap of weight. Ouzo franked that run by winning snug with A 6lb penalty next time. Well drawn, Oisin up & well weighted this one is a good bet. Meade’s form is the only downside to me, but he had a Listed winner last week and after stopping running his horses completely hopefully his yard have turned a corner.
Bit shorter now than last night with the lethal Hugh Taylor tip-up but i really like this beast.June 20, 2019 at 11:14 #1446119From my preview:
By complete chance, based on the form, I fancy another King Power Racing horse here in HERO HERO (14/1) who won easily at Chester last time. He will handle any cut in the ground and is my first selection in an open-looking handicap. Beatboxer soared home late last time but is inconsistent whilst Dubai Legacy is one of few who has run well on soft if the going remains that way. Velorum ha slooked good this season on a sound surface and Eclipse Storm looked likely to enjoy this step up in trip when finishing strongly last time at the Curragh. The second selection though is for MOTAFAAWIT (12/1) who beat the reopposing Awe. That form was boosted when that rival won last time and he should go well in an intriguing renewal of the Britannia.
June 20, 2019 at 17:02 #1446205I can’t bring myself to throw the form book out the window and just bet Frankie, which
probably means he’ll bolt up, but 7/2 for Turgenev would never be considered it’s natural
odds. I’me going with my 2 that I’ve got in Nathan’s competition. Dark Vision at 33/1
and Beatboxer at 28/1. I could do with one of them or both getting a place, it’s not
been a great day so far for me. - AuthorPosts
