Broken a leg whilst out in a field, what a sickener for connections.
May 19, 2012 at 12:00 #404736Stable must be devastated; Lucinda spoke so eloquently about him when interviewed a few weeks ago. The horse had such a future. Condolences to all concerned.
May 19, 2012 at 12:40 #404743May 19, 2012 at 13:20 #404746RIP Brindisi Breeze.
Sounds like a horrible accident.
Thoughts to connections, and hope the driver of the tanker is ok.
May 19, 2012 at 14:05 #404752I was shocked when I read this sad news.
That’s three horses who won on the final day of this year’s Cheltenham Festival already gone – Synchronised, Bellvano and now Brindisi Breeze. RIP
May 19, 2012 at 14:08 #404753What a terrible thing to happen. Such a bright future now swept away. Codolences to all connections. RIP
May 19, 2012 at 21:17 #404805Really sad sad news
R.I.P
May 20, 2012 at 11:15 #404859We have had few if any performers potentially as good as Brindisi Breeze in Scotland in recent times. It’s sad to lose any horse to such a horrible accident, but even more so with one for whom the sky seemed the limit.
Scant consolation, but his Cheltenham performance remains a fitting memorial.R.I.P. a star whose light shone briefly but oh so brightly.

Just home after 2 weeks away and so sad to read through the memorials of horses that have passed away in this short time.RIP to all of them
and in particular a real shock to hear of the tragic accident that has now claimed Brindisi Breeze RIP
A sad statistic of the Cheltenham Festival pointed out by Jane of Herts that sends a chill down the heart of NH racing with the loss of 3 brave servants Synchronised, Bellvano and Brindisi Breeze. Very hard to come to terms with but your memories will live on.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 27, 2012 at 16:10 #405699I too have just returned home to what seems a pretty bad list considering there has not been much jump racing in my absence. Goes to show it’s not just when they’re running you have to worry about them. You hardly dare take your eye off these beautiful crazy creatures wherever they are.

What a horrible end to what he probably thought was going to be a great midnight adventure, and how unlucky to run into a tanker at a time when roads are normally pretty empty. Silly, lovely, tragic boy.
RIP Brindisi Breeze
and RIP to all the others who have lost their lives in the past 2 weeks
