Good Morning All,
This is my first post so all responses welcome.
I had an ante-post bet 3 months ago on Bothar Na for the Grand National, admittadly i have been disappointed with the displays since last years race but i remember Willie Mullins being very confident about the 2008 race before the 2007 race saying he will do well next year (2008).
Disappointingly he has only been given 9st 12. With Beef Or Salmon not running and Turpin Green out the weights stand to increase by 3lb. Has he any chance of making it into the race??
Stu…
March 3, 2008 at 12:20 #148029I would think not, sorry. Even Ossmoses will be lucky to get in, although I think he may just make it.

I thought that, still got Point Barrow at 33/1 so not all bad
March 3, 2008 at 12:28 #148033I was thinking of Bothar Na for last year’s race but then I thought if he wasn’t good enough to win the Foxhunter’s around Aintree then he couldn’t win the National.
His dam is full of stamina but he just doesn’t look like a marathon stayer. I think that surprised Mullins a lot. I read his comments after the weights were published and he always thought of him as a National horse but has had to change his mind after last year’s effort when really there were no excuses for him.
