    I was told that, as a concession to punters on Black Friday, Bookmaking firms considered offering better value to punters.

    I was also told that after thinking about it for five minutes they decided not to. Still, it’s a step in the right direction and was nearly on a par with the 15% off a box of rawl plugs that I snared on the cusp of midnight.

    Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

    Betfred offered BOG on all races but failed to mention anywhere in their shops or on their tv coverage that Richard Johnson wasn’t riding.
