A review I’ve written of a fantastic new book by that doyen of modern-day racing columnists, David Ashforth.

Thoroughly recommend the book, a highly entertaining read. Here’s a wee quiz question for you on the back of reading it – who trained the very first winner on a British racecourse for Godolphin sporting the royal blue colours?

    David,

Ashforth has good form in this sphere so my interest is duly piqued.

I’m guessing the trainer was Hilal Ibrahim.

You might want to change the first date in the footnote to 10th September.
