Very sad to hear. He was a real favourite and did me a good turn when he won both the Hennessy and the Gold Cup.

He was very brave at Cheltenham but he had a hard race and I don’t think he was ever quite the same afterwards. But he was a very good horse winning the Bartlett, RSA and Gold Cup in successive years.

    Condolences to his connections.

Heartbreaking. What a dear horse he was and was having the best of retirements. RIP

😥 heartbreaking he will be missed by many especially those connected to him. And those who cared for him in retirement and loved him so.

Brilliant little horse. Looked like he’d ran his race in the gold cup only to come alive again at the bottom of the hill. Won the Lexus the following year but wasn’t the same ultra-reliable horse after his gruelling gold cup win.

Such a sad end for a well-loved horse … and one so well remembered and thought of by many of us (the loss of any is sad I know). RIP brave one
