Happy retirements to both. Hope you both have a good long one.
Sovereign Debt became a favourite of mine. Had a great season last year and was great to see him win his penultimate race at York.
Megalala must have had legs of steel for them to last so long. A wonderful servant to all connections. £78 profit on a £1 level stake from 148 runs and 20 wins is some record. Just noticed he ran for the last time at the age of 16 on my nephew’s 16th birthday.
September 11, 2018 at 17:18 #1373628Happy retirement to Order of St George! Well deserved
September 11, 2018 at 21:27 #1373657Sad and happy at the same time about Sovereign.
Sov was one of my favourite horses and enjoyed watching him. So beautiful.
Wish him the happiest retirement

All comers, all ground, all beaten
September 17, 2018 at 21:07 #1375244Happy Retirement Alpha and Saxon..time to produce some speedy babies now for us all to enjoy in the future…
Glad to have seen both in the flesh at Newmarket. Was particularly relieved by the decision to retire Alpha Centauri after her bad step it could have been so much worse, both have been great servants in their short careers and deserve a happy retirement.

October 17, 2018 at 20:11 #1377678Hidden Cyclone retired; seems like only yesterday I watched him win his maiden hurdle. Great old battler, but was never quite sure what his best trip was

November 2, 2018 at 11:29 #1379281Couldn’t let the retirement of Sheikhzayedroad pass without mention. What a grand servant he’s been. So pleased to see him bowing out in one piece and staying at David Simcock’s where he is clearly loved

He’s fine, just old age catching up with him. Wishing him a long and well-deserved retirement at Martinstown
December 9, 2018 at 18:51 #1388700I see there was no mention of My Tent or Yours retirement on Luck on Sunday where Nicky Henderson was special guest. He saved the news for his bookmaker paymasters and his Unibet blog
December 9, 2018 at 19:37 #1388705One of my favourites – an exciting horse to watch, and a gallant one too. Am pleased to hear JP looks after his retired horses well, MTOY definitely deserves it.
December 9, 2018 at 23:35 #1388716Loved My Tent or Yours
would have been a millionaire if he had won that Champion Hurdle when 2nd to Jezki
Geraghty done enough to put MTOY’s off over the final hurdle, made all the differenceCharles Darwin to conquer the World
