Happy retirement to Gabrial, super boy, always tried hard and was regularly placed, sometimes at insultingly big prices. Good to know he is retiring sound and hope he has a very long and happy retirement.
July 17, 2019 at 00:13 #1448739With this year’s Summer Plate at Market Rasen on the horizon, it was great to see a proper old favourite of mine, Brave Spartacus, go out on a winning note at the track last week. It’s almost four years to the day since his finest moment in The 2015 Plate.
He picked up a minor injury last week, and he’s going out in one piece. Hope the old boys got a long retirement ahead of him.
In other news, Masar was also retired.
August 5, 2019 at 18:14 #1450572Too Darn Hot retired after picking up injury in the aftermath of winning the Sussex Stakes
along with Calyx who I believe has also retired and Quorto not yet seen on course as a 3 y/o its been a pretty harsh year for the top two year olds of last season and another nail in the Breeding of Dar Re Mi who foals super horse yet they come with a health warning.Charles Darwin to conquer the World
August 5, 2019 at 18:21 #1450573Absolutely gutted with that news
August 5, 2019 at 18:24 #1450574Me to Frenchy..
at least he managed to redeem himself somewhat in his last couple of races..Charles Darwin to conquer the World
August 5, 2019 at 19:24 #1450578So sorry to read this news Nathan, he was shaping up to be the top 3yo this season.
At least we will be able to look forward to seeing his progeny in the years to come, would have hated to have seen him break down on course, his future at stud is secured so have a
long and happy retirement Too Darn Hot
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 16, 2019 at 01:31 #1451095Former Champion Hurdler Jezki has been retired.
Still running with credit in Handicaps last year, but it looks the right decision.
August 18, 2019 at 21:36 #1451324Jezki was a great old warrior, never quite captured the public imagination despite winning at all three spring festivals; glad to see him safely retired
September 7, 2019 at 22:28 #1453134Here Comes When retired after his race today, glad to see him go out in one piece, hope he has a long and happy retirement!

According to this blogpost; Civil Unrest, Ueueteotl, Lycidas, Sleep In First and Lord Wishes have all been retired.
September 11, 2019 at 00:33 #1453360Good to see Ueueteotl go out in one piece, looked as stiff as a board last few times I seen him.
Always kept an eye out for him.
September 11, 2019 at 02:06 #1453362Yeah, backed him a couple of times this year but the spark (if not entirely gone) was certainly beginning to fade. As for Civil Unrest, he’s the kind of horse who I can’t really imagine racing without. First run was in January 2011 and has will be very odd to see a Musselburgh jumps card without him. Don’t really follow the Northern jumpers a huge amount but both of them are definitely horses I’ve a lot of time for.
September 12, 2019 at 17:39 #1453765Moayadd (of the Neil Mulholland yard) has been retired. A full-brother to Saamidd he was a Godolphin reject who won 4 races, all in 2017.
September 12, 2019 at 19:38 #1453781Happy retirement Crystal Ocean
And well done the work rider for getting him pulled up in time before irreparable damage was done.September 12, 2019 at 20:35 #1453796Yes, fingers crossed Crystal Ocean recovers and goes on to his second career as a stallion. So many top class horses seem to have been lost recently, don’t want to lose him too.
September 12, 2019 at 20:39 #1453798About time they retired Top Notch Tonto bless him. Ran to a hell of a standard at his pomp. Was a group 3 winner and finished 2nd in a soft ground QEII behind Olympic Glory. Excelled on softer ground at his best with a career best RPR of 120. Now he’s milling around off a rating about to drop into the 60’s as a 9yo racing for change.
September 13, 2019 at 10:08 #1453825Good wishes to Crystal Ocean as he recovers from his career ending injury and retires to stud.
What a harrowing season this has been so many top class horses sustaining injuries and sadly worst..so thankful that Crystal Ocean was able to be saved wish him a long and happy retirement.
