You still have to review the 2012 Poster of the Year vote!

September 6, 2013 at 18:27 #450357I’ve only just noticed this thread.

I am honestly trying really hard to find a way of saying the following that is not offensive – it was all a long time ago, a lot has happened before and since and those conversation were sadly not so important to me that I committed them all to memory.
Maybe I am the one at fault for that?
The funny thing is, I reappear here having recalled being none too popular in the past only to find I am elevated to such legend status now that I am apparently insulting my memory by simply saying I am me?

You’re right, gamble, we only spoke on the phone the once, and we never met in person.
But I cannot remember all that stuff you’re asking me.
The best I can do is say Glenn dubbed it The Jolly Green Giant and you had a thing about how decimal odds should not include the stake – i.e. 7/4 should be expressed as 1.75, not 2.75 and 4/5 should be 0.8, not 1.8
I am ashamed of myself for even remembering THAT.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 7, 2013 at 21:40 #450518Sadly,
the last time I really felt passionate about this house was many moons ago when the moon itself was actually up there mixed in with those despoiling motorway lights and high up over a two hour car journey filled with no radio sound – but simply the droning engine and fascinating exhaust filled thoughts of exactly who in reality Winkleman… really was.Was he himself, or cloned and hewn ? – and if hewn, from who ? and I pondered so many usernames, some recent, many old, and listened to their creaking dialogue in my head and compared and contrasted and none really fitted this swashbuckling risk taker. That was some car journey and over as I remember in a flash !
Of Course, he was dead at the time, if I might take a risk myself and say
the incumbent one had stolen his shell – mainly for shouting from the rooftops scandalous page view data that suggested this house was in the pits and the tiles and windows had been blown out. I thought the old turtle ( from…Paul Haigh and a TRF misapprehension) looked a possible match and he had a shell too. But no, turtle was too much of a cerebral mollusc to have a temper take over his shell.I’m sad the winkle went so quickly and unlike Daylight who suppressed his ire, giving the young Kathy nine lives and an eight thousand view platform for her high heels to totter on and spill her beans from, the incumbent one ( to use Mr Pilsen’s rather irreverent term for our great leader) drew a weapon and prised of the shell to expose the squidge part of him that was still shouting… but not for long – no quarter given.
Possibly winkleman had blasted to much ammo all in one go, like Sir Thomas More, whereas Kathy taunted the King with the possibility of expose and used a hanky tactfully to diffuse her threats. I love head busters

I may write a squidge more
about Diane Avis (using Razeenspeak)
or as Old Jim called him
the log
and the boring baron of basingstoke…but I doubt it
as the clock strikes Krone.p,s… I must say the log was the funniest thing old red handed Jim’s old kilt ever came up with
September 7, 2013 at 22:51 #450524I had forgotten about Jim_JTS – I should have been more polite to him.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 7, 2013 at 23:05 #450527Gamble, Corm and Daylight before him would be classed as incumbents. Nothing irreverent about that, is there?
September 7, 2013 at 23:18 #450534Mr Pilsen remind me a bit of a guy called Grasshopper but then I never was much good at knowing who was who.

You should realize that it’s truly pointless for you to continue to pretend you are Ian Davies.
Just join in as yourself
and maybe give a clue about the real name you used on here in the past.September 7, 2013 at 23:32 #450539Well, I am starting to think it is truly pointless for me to try to convince people of the truth – I am Ian Davies.
But not to worry.

September 8, 2013 at 09:25 #450558…Of course Dungheap was of grasshoppers era
and grass and dung are certainly connected !I was reading some of the old threads last night
as therein lies a lot of my interest – the past
is so godamned good isn’t it ? I can almost
hear the old actor Peter Finch shouting that out
the window to a miserable world stuck
in wet concrete in a lacklustre hardening present. My normally very sharp memory was surprised at
a couple of things.Debs famously remembered by me, for spitting feathers
in the controversial Cochrane thread actually
raised her temper bar at you ‘Mr Davies’ with
a brutal FFS after Craigs sad death.
So you did rankle and wrinkle a few
as did winkleman.
She also wrote (rough quote)
The board is not to be sold but is to be run by
– as you would so correctly say Mr Pilsen
– the present incumbent.
I always believed there was a financial element,
and certainly that is my understanding of the history.A quick look over this holy place revealed that
Phunter is still there gloriously at the end and
and razeen is stuck somewhere in the middle.
One could almost break out in song, and I
presume the whole valuable harvest is intact.September 8, 2013 at 19:56 #450597Just booking my seat for tonight’s big reveal

September 8, 2013 at 20:52 #450607As for a big revelation
certainly I have the ammunition
for it – but with the three or four
bored sheep eyes sat before me
I seem to be lacking any audience.I have been in and out here
today in the deserted racing section
here in the odd animal section
and never never have I felt
such isolation.
I don’t feel inspired in any
way to talk of clones or
their dad’s, the daddyclones.Let’s await the ENERGY
it may take a week or two
September 8, 2013 at 21:01 #450608There will be even less interest in a week or two. This place is DEAD
