Quite right kneez.
I don’t know if I
can match your
simple joy but…When you have your
hearing you take it
for granted. Lose
it and suddenly the
world is grey and
there is this devastating
feeling of loss and
loneliness. I have been
on a month long journey
with it. I am so lucky
in making a partial
recovery. To hear and
understand a voice on
the phone and use the
old right ear rather than
hear Stephen Hawking as
I was, and having to use
the annoying left one
is blesses bliss.December 21, 2013 at 00:01 #462489Pardon?
Blackbeard to conquer the World
December 21, 2013 at 00:04 #462490you’re excused
December 21, 2013 at 11:03 #462560This Lounge has become a dark place , wonder what thicky is doing today ????
How does it feel ?? to be called that dude ….not so nice , especially when repeatedly used
Nasty boy
My last post on this thread
Lets have some mirth
December 21, 2013 at 11:36 #462576I will give my last post
in this dark mirthless
outpost tonightDecember 21, 2013 at 11:42 #462578I will deliver my last post in this normal thread on the 25th December 2019.
Blackbeard to conquer the World
December 21, 2013 at 19:11 #462647Although this thread is on the bleak side
I hope to introduce some cheer this evening
after all Ricky has just posted
another dude on Betfair and seems to be
good mooding. His posts, though in essence
defamatory, do have an air of cheery
hippo about themYou suggest that we may be at a crossroads
Ricky. I don’t have that many friends,
I lived many years abroad, and I couldn’t
afford to bring them all back here. I suppose
I would categorize you as a friend but I have
had to move you into my odd list. Now here’s the good news. You like a bit of action.
A bit of splash. I thought I would up the ante
little. The thing I like about the recent Ian Davies
enquiry were the two phone calls – real world see.
I will write a bit tonight but have thought of two things
I will do that may surprise you. I am primed to
go onto Betfair but not quite sure with that.
I have bought one bottle of krone now in the freezerThe action will take place a little later on.
I will to hope be making a bit of a sensation of you
tonight.Just one thing let us you me and P contain
any bad words to here in the lounge.
I think the mods would appreciate that
and the time of year demands it really. My last post on here – not likely I am
going back on my word just as you didBack in about …well not long
December 21, 2013 at 21:43 #462669Well Ricky himself has upped the ante
This could be a long nightI am primed to go on Betfair but not
confirmed. Fact is I am feeling lousy
today – the high doses of steroids and
antivirals are taking their toll and
keep me awake at night. As to Lake
suggesting I will be defending Mr Pilsen,
wrong on that one, no I have a slightly
different planNow in the whole enquiry Mr Ricky Lake
got a lot wrong, let us be generous and
find a couple of things he got right..He writes on chit chat of Mr P
… always attention seeking, always annoying.
Not the former attention seeking is more your
preserve Ricky. Mr Pilsen can be rather irritating,
not annoying. We will give Lake half a point.Ricky was spot on about mainstream TV having
nothing much to show. I think he is right there.
If you likr Dr Who and there is a Harry Potter film,
but nothing there I would watch. However there are
occasionally some ggod things. I watched a very
interesting proramme this week on Psychopaths.
I wonder if Ricky watched that ? Quite interesting,
because they say that one in a hundred have these
psycopathic tendencies. Apparently directors on boards
have a higher ratio. People employed by banks who are
risk takers are the profession most replete with psychopaths.
David James the english goalkeeper professes to be one.If this site has 5000 members there should be 50
psycopaths in our midst. Now what has this to do
with Ricky Lake. Well I feel I knew Ricky Lake very well.
His behaviour has very much surprised me over the last
two months and I can say I had misjudged his character.
I felt, in view of the fact I know him reasonably
well, I would answer questions on his behalf on a site
I found called psychcentral.com. I did the psycopath test
for him, answering as if I was him. A few things I did
not know, one if he had a criminal offence. I answered
no on that. Anyway Ricky’s score was 16 and a score 13-17
demonstrated someone who had moderate to minor
psycopathic tendencies. A score of 18 and up
showed strong psychopathic qualities.
Now Ricky has been a professional gambler for many
years on the racecourse, something akin to a banker another
connection. More on this in a minute…December 21, 2013 at 21:51 #462671Loving this …..carry on father ./ doctor / detective
That medication has surely brought you into the twilight zone
The imminent crowning of poster of the year had obviously created a rush …..
loving it Sir
laughing so hard it hurts
will this thread ever stop
meanwhile back at the ranch Miss P , is having a spotlight breather
go for it , the drugs arent woking ….lol
on a serious note I hope you can hear a little more and cheer is heading your way
December 22, 2013 at 08:54 #462683I could not get in last night Ricky
so called a truce. I am feeling a lot
better today – the nausea has lessened
and I slept reasonably well, thank you.
This is the post I tried to put up
but couldn’tRicky I am not trying to prove
you are barmy, as you stated to slippy
on chitchat. One in twenty five board
directors are not barmy, David James is not
barmy – you are not barmy – but you could have
sociopathic or psychopathic tendencies
this can explain all of your behaviour here
and on Betfair. When I watched the programme
I thought about myself – was I a psychopath ?
No, I concern myself too much about others feelings
but hang on, then you came into my mind and I
thought hey – could be an answer to all your
weird posting. This could be your defence. Many argue that psychopaths are needed by
society. They get things done irrespective
of difficult barriers or opposition.I would ask you to go on the site and
take the test – it is only three minutes.
It could be quite revealing !These are the main tendencies
attributing that are considered to define
the condition
.
I ask people to view Ricky Lake
in light of them and come to
a conclusionSocial influence — a tendency to seem charming, persuasive
Ricky’s obsequiousness – he can turn on the charm.
Check his two posts yesterday to Drone and Mike,
and interestingly only one repliedFearlessness — a tendency to embrace risk without fear or
anxietyHis putting up the pilsendude on Betfair. Quite fearless and someone on their called for a psychiatrist, but Ricky brashly continues. Betfair chitchat doesn’t take prisoners
Stress immunity — stays cool in difficult circumstances
Despite no-one hardly talking to him on here, he is the coolest hippo in the Serengeti and just posts on as if nothing has happened. His poor reputation now doesn’t cause him any concern – cool as a cucumber
Machiavellian egocentricity — a tendency to consider only personal needs
He has certainly put his own personal vendetta needs well over the needs of this site. He has turned this the racing forum into a circus with its lights out
Rebellious nonconformity — a tendency to neglect of social
conventions and regulationsThe Pilsendude thread. Who would carry on an argument on another forum. This is nonconformist and breaks ethical rules
Blame externalization — a tendency to assign blame for problems or obstacles to other people
Has constantly shifted blame on Mr Pilsen, however it is so clear he threw the first cornflake remark, dressed Mr P in sequins, made louche remarks about him, involved an innocent poster -( Nathan), escalated on Betfair. In my view, Ricky who plainly put up an apology, suddenly says Mr Pilsen is the guilty one, and has even asked him for an apology
Carefree lack of planning — limited willingness to make future plans
Should have made a sensible withdrawn from this forum when his chips were down but no.
Cold-heartedness — no guilt or remorse
He rebuts all guilt and does not seem to care how his stinging remarks might cause harm or even hurt, he is oblivious and has a different mindset to most
December 22, 2013 at 09:25 #462684Oh dear , the drugs are defoo not working
I would suggest that your final post has indeed made TRF look like a circus …..still you fight on to be the much coveted poster of the year
Its true you have come close in former years , and were pipped time after time , these things happen for a reason dear boy
However this year you saw our little spat as a vehicle to spew your genius , to the extent that you would be the champion of the board complete with white shining armour
Glaringly obvious
brilliant though
as for the writing , as always excellent , entertaining and mildly crazy but thats your appeal sir
so go on Betlarge , take it down ……I wish I could change my vote
I will leave you to your ramblings ……the door is closed , nobody is listening ……..
December 22, 2013 at 11:17 #462690Ricky I have seen your post on the dude
thread and your war is over message.
Your decision to withdraw from this
forum subject to behaviour issues
is greeted warmly by me and I feel
it is the right one because your
position her is untenable. I am sorry
it has gone like this.
Few have looked in here true, it is not
of major interest. As you are now away
I will keep my comments respectful but
continue to tell the truth as i see it.
If you feel you need to reply might I
suggest you reply from chit chat as
I am following that.As far as the the award vote, you can
change your vote to Mike, I am surprised
you did not know this, and right up to
7.59pm. To be honest I would readily forgoe
any award I might win for a full apology
from you to Mr Pilsen, or to put back
time and somehow to have avoided this
debacle. I should have stopped posting
when it all started, but of course, the
case must go on, but it shouldn’t have. You have supported me over the years and
I have considered you a friend, however
things have changed and cooled somewhat
between us,and I think your opinion of me,
notwithstanding your graciousness,
has also changed. As far as the poster of the year, I have some
years made good headway early on, but I have
never done better than joint third I think.
It is hardly surprising as I am not a mainstream
writer. I have written a lot this last month
as I have been confined, and of course the bleak
report earlier. As far as Mr Pilsen asking for my help, that
did not happen. I replied to a PM from him
some years ago but that is it. I did try to
PM him two days ago but failed, he appears
not even to be in the alphabetical list.
I tried unsuccessfully to PM you but you had
the function switched off.Good luck with your poker and Irish racing
if you are still into that, and if you don’t
go large on your vote at least go large on
the turkey. All the best for Xmas and beyond.I have cancelled my two intended actions yesreday
and hopefully that is it.I have read your latest message on chit chat
You can call me a nutter, I take it graciously,
I feel I am somewhat nuts to spend my time
on dissecting things in cyber space when
I should be out there, enjoying more of the big wide
world. By all means escalate things if you wish,
I am happy to be your sacrificial lamb, but
please confine yourself to chit chat.December 22, 2013 at 11:49 #462694I have not decided to withdraw from here , and frankly is not your decision to decide whether my position is untenable or not
dream on Sir ,..and happy Christmas , hope seriously that you make a full recovery
You do not decide my actions and postings gamble , to presume that you do is at best delusional , at worst mischievous
Rock on
December 22, 2013 at 12:00 #462695I can decide if your position
is untenable on here, but you
are right, I cannot decide
whether you post here or
stay on here.I took your,
I will leave you to
your ramblingsas a suggestion
you were leaving. Obviously
it does’t infer that and I am
wrong to have suggested it.December 22, 2013 at 12:17 #462696Ricky writes at 10.56 on chit chat
"aaaaah its official . dr gamble is a nutter ….according to Physc centre ….it appears Miss Pilsendude may be normal in comparison ……and all for poster of the year ….the grail , the often denied . suddenly within reach , desperation strikes ……sad innit , the fings folks will do to seek peer approval, and preen in the glow of victory , king of the boards for one day , crowned at last ……yep its that sad Tongue OutTongue OutTongue Out
Now Dude , I have forgiven you , for the moment anyhow , I have other fish to fry , and frankly your issue pales into insignificance, so just get on with it
have a good one miss ……
as for the deaf doctor ……well now , the party has just begun …….."
You seem in the words of Katy Perry
toblow hot to blow cold
There is such a polarity to your
posts. You have very changing emotions,
because the previous post on chit chat
100 minutes earlier was fairly warm
and conciliatory. I suppose the question
I ask myself is, what changed in that time ?December 22, 2013 at 14:09 #462702This is all abnormally interesting as for the very first time in my experience you, Gamble are so obviously irritated, so obviously serious and your prose so obviously obvious; it’s actually a welcome lifting of the black ‘n’ bleak niqab and burqa, though I didn’t think for one second it would be your loyal, adoring Robin who’d dare expose your undergarments
The ‘serious’ punter may or may not have a psychopathic trait; but what I believe is an unquestionable attribute of said abnormal being is that of having a hippo skin: slings, arrows, jibes, praise, admiration, recognition bounce off that waxy, slippery hide and get stuck in the closed, waxy canal of prominent auricles while the thousand-yard stare into the Big Blue yonder remains fixed
Ricky the 60-something teenager and long-time punter seems to feel he’s suffered a near-fatal shot by an elephant gun wielded by Mr Pilsen, whereas in truth the lager drinker was only teasing and annoying with his usual carefully-aimed shuttlecock: bounce, bounce: keep on keeping on
Is this just a message board inhabited by urban spacemen, or is this real life?
TV is crap this yuletide, save for M R James and the Ealing Comedies so I do hope you continue to entertain me, and I’m sure the rest of the members of this select lounge
Don’t go Ricky!
Don’t go Gamble!Virtual life wouldn’t be worth living without you

My take on this too Drone
Ricky Lake can’t take
a poke about his weightRicky’s was a total over-reaction to a barbed comment which was
qualified by Mr Pilsen as not to be taken too seriously. How was
Pilsen to know that Lake had a previous weight issue that he was
very sensitive too.Weeks and weeks of taunts followed and a huge thread on chit chat.
It just beggars belief. Both men are touchy, Lake particualarly so
and I always handled with care.I value your judgement Drone, so unlike me you feel that Ricky
Lake should continue posting in here with his spots and stubble.
I disagree with you – he should take a very long walk in my opinion back to the Serengeti. An apology to Mr Pilsen will never happen and would it really make up for all the tripe ?What has more than irritated me about him is his failure to see
exactly that it is his unreasonable reaction that has caused all this. I have spent a lot of time on this and Ricky’s continued belligerence has meant I have lost most of my respect for him.
He may cheer you up, but his persistence to fail to see his errors has totally bored me.Pilsen is right I am a part time writer but actually spend part-time in a year far more time than a yearly poster expends.
I was thinking to put his position to a public vote, that was one of the actions I was considering last night but got locked out of the site. The other one I wouldn’t say.
