That’s just looking at it from your point of view though, Gamble.
In truth, his behaviour should never have been allowed to go on for so long. This forum seems to be as badly moderated as the betfair forum these days. And that is a sad fact.
December 20, 2013 at 01:03 #462326The behaviour has been contained in this
thread up until recently so it has not
done huge damage. I feel in normal circumstances
when someone has the gumption to apologise
that is usually the end of it. Not so with
Ricky though. I think the moderators hands
off was fine – these outbursts are sometimes
a contrast to a quiet house and can give
a bit of energy. It is all a matter
of degree, and today the whole thing has finally
got out of hand with Ricky’s escalation on
another forum.December 20, 2013 at 01:19 #462328The behaviour has been contained in this

another forum.I’ve had to quote this as it’s so wrong.
The stuff on the other forum has not really escalated recently at all. It started in early November and has always looked like the work of a proper nutjob. And his posts on here have been in the same vein for quite some time. Are your mince pies playing you up? Those ones from Asda have always been piss poor
December 20, 2013 at 01:52 #462333The Betfair posts historically date
from November. They were only brought to
this forums attention sometime in December,
not that long ago.It appears mobile posting Matthew is back
and with his old style of rash postings.
The old guard wont like that and Ricky
could not abide him, so could anyway be
trouble ahead. I suppose the
old chat room did have a purpose.Every poster must be looked at differently.
If a new poster starts being abusive it is
a different matter and should be dealt with
less sympathetically to when an old established
poster defaults.I haven’t bought any mince pies – I am
eating healthy. Finish my tea and I will
be off to bed.December 20, 2013 at 02:10 #462340And there was me thinking that mince pies was a well known rhyming slang.
Goodnight.

Goodnight
December 20, 2013 at 09:24 #462358You’ve got a lot of nerve
To say you are my friend.
When I was down you just stood there grinning. You’ve got a lot of nerve
To say you’ve got a helping hand to lend.
You just want to be on the side that’s winning. You say I let you down,
You know it’s not like that.
If you’re so hurt, why then don’t you show it?You say you’ve lost your faith,
But that’s not where it’s at.
You have no faith to lose, and you know it.I know the reason that
You talk behind my back.
I used to be among the crowd you’re in with.Do you take me for such a fool
To think I’d make contact
With the one who tries to hide what he don’t know to begin with? You see me on the street.
You always act surprised.
You say, how are you, good luck, but you don’t mean it.
When you know as well as me,
You’d rather see me paralyzed
Why don’t you just come out once and scream it!Now don’t I feel that good
When I see the heartaches you embrace
If I were a master thief perhaps I’d rob them. And though I know you’re dissatisfied
With your position and your place,
Don’t you understand, it’s not my problem.I wish that for just one time,
You could stand inside my shoes,
And just for that one moment I could be you.
Yes, I wish that for just one time
You could stand inside my shoes,
You’d know what a drag it is to see you.December 20, 2013 at 09:42 #462361"Gamble, I don’t mean to be offensive in the slightest, and I’m sure someone has asked you this question before on TRF;
What the [expletive] are you on about?"
I have to say that did make me
Hola Gamble, I hope you are in good form.
December 20, 2013 at 10:13 #462366There is a lot I fail to understand too
Hi Jason glad something tickled
your fancy – personally my utterances
last night were on the bleak side
and I thought I was writing in the
Queens English, what is it you
failed to comprehend ?How is Christian(Sky)getting along,
and yourself. Have you hitched up
with a new female ?Ricky my message got a bit diluted
I seem to be the only person conversing
with you on here as hippo stock has
fallen through the floor recently and most wont
touch it. I have seen the two songs
and there is a message of contrition in
one, but talking or not talking is surely
what is needed here. What do you think of your
position on this forum ? What are you intending
to do ?December 20, 2013 at 10:34 #462369Chief Constable,
Now that the Case of the ID of ID has been solved and shelved under the terms of the 30-year Rule, shouldn’t you be running your magnifying glass over the mysterious ALEXDACE? It seems to me that the MATTHEW gut-reaction is that of the lazy plod very much desiring of a quiet Christmas
Come On
December 20, 2013 at 10:44 #462371Gamble
my position is fine , and I dont intend to do a darn thing , except enjoy everything as always
lighten up Sir
thanks very much
December 20, 2013 at 11:30 #462380Drone, Matthew (Alex) put up a post last night
entitled why are the best jockeys only on the flat.
He gave a list of about twenty flat jockeys in bold.
Mr Pilsen replied… I have never heard of Kieran
Fallon so he can’t be much good, to which Matthew
replied I have never heard of Mr Pilsen so he can’t be
much good. Quite a sparklingly good reply. Anyway
I then suggested that comparing flat and jump jockeys
was like chalk and cheese, and said the thread was
more for thepub
. Then two threads appeared Pilsen is dirt
followed by Gamble is dirt. Then a thread a thread
in bold entitled OH EMMA OH ENMMA OH EMMA SPENCER.
I replied on various threads and Matthew changed all
the titles. I went to bed at three am.As possibly you were all getting your beauty sleep
I recount the tale for your interest.Ricky you have the freedom to do as you will.
You are at the mercy then of the mods. You should
have lightened up a long time ago in this thread,
but have escalated the thing to ridiculous proportions
and even brought in superman Nathan Hughes on Betfair.
Thenormals
on here have suffered.
You already have Ian Davies scalp how many more ?
The atmosphere on the forum is piss poor because
of all this, and although it created a bit of
hiatus initially the whole thing has got so sour
boring now.I wrote to you last night as a friend and do now.
Don’t know what has got into you of late.
Anyway that is enough from me on the subject
I have spent a lot of time on this but in no
way have I resolved it, and I was genuinely
trying to help.Anyway I will lighten up now – haven’t done cards
yet and possibly a small tree, so will hoof it
today and very hope Ricky you have a good one.
I’ll be looking in tonight.December 20, 2013 at 16:04 #462408Sky is really well Gamble and now lives in Bedfordshire, he has just put his villa in Spain up for sale. That life was great for both of us but when the bubble burst it was time to move on.
All is good with me, I am happily settled back in London and ticking over nicely. It’s a bit strange popping back here as I don’t really know any of the names on here now. Having a quick read there are some I remember but not too many.
We had some absolutely madcap nights in the lounge years ago, you usually being in the middle of it all of course.
Anyway, I just thought I’d pay a quick visit to see if you were still about and to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
December 20, 2013 at 19:01 #462422Madcap is a very good word to describe it.
Yes not so many left from those times
Balance sadly died and Razzie the lightening
conductor was banned. Yes good times.Very nice of you to drop by. Sky is only
selling his villa now, that surprises me,
as there was an intention to sell a few
years back. So pleased, he is doing well
and rooted in beds. I am much in his debt
for providing the accommodation out there,
and it was a pleasure to meet him.Life goes in cycles you have to jump
on one and then jump off and jump on
another. Main thing is to enjoy the
simple things in life and have one
or two people or more to share them with.I wish you and Sky, and your brother Conan,
, a very merry Xmas and go large
on the turkey. I shall be having a kingly
feastMy last message on this thread I feel
so take care.December 20, 2013 at 21:35 #462452Come back to chitty chat Gamble, you are missed and get a mention from the oldtimers every now and then. Cubone has had very bad health, you used to have a few tangles with him back in the day but I think he is still standing but hasn’t posted for ages
December 20, 2013 at 22:33 #462463The Betfair community is like
a different world. It is so long
ago and the future then was so
bright and we felt we owned the
exchange. The greed factor kicked
in and I saw many posters bleed
Duncan particularly who I felt
was almost the soul of Betfair.
It left a bitter taste. A lot of
us ended up on the Ultimate
after the Rogues Gallery posting and
the clever linkVery sorry to hear about Cubone
last time I remember he was taking
daily walks around the lake bordering his
house and seemed in good shape.
He was in here but not zippy enough
for his style. He tried Ultimate
for a while but he likes a public
forum that is fast so that is Betfair.I see Clydebank is still there and
wonder about Sundancekid and I
suppose John Tuhoy and Hazel might
still be about, I have not felt the
inclination to check.The fishing party
and the six fisherman and I was there.
We set up a separate forum the six of us
and wrote for days and days all to help
Betfair and they were not interested.I suppose I could do a blog on this
thread to show what really went on here
but that is unlikely. I will think a visit
over. It is a matter of time and I am
meant to be resting. Please give them
my Xmas greetings and nice of you to
say I am missed. I have very very good
memories.December 20, 2013 at 22:46 #462469Life goes in cycles you have to jump
on one and then jump off and jump on
another. Main thing is to enjoy the

I arrived at fatherhood later than most but seeing a certain look on your child’s face or hearing him/her shout "love you" when you leave the house is priceless
Nothing beats it
