He is back in training and will run in the National, all things going to plan. Similar campaign to last year, when he did not run in the Becher.
Basically a run over hurdles and a run in the Bobbyjo chase. Basically wasting a good horse.
What kind of National campaign is that? "Protecting his handicap rating" is bogus, because Smith already said he would have raised him to 11-10 if he could have redone the weights, so there is really no point in "protecting". Here’s a horse who could win a Welsh National, yet they run him over hurdles before going to those massive National fences? Very nice.
The only way he’s safe from the weights is if Denman gets a entry and wipes out all but a handful out of the handicap.
