I do try to follow what goes on here & understand what is being put forward.
That explains why i got lost
There was no staking plan (as yet)
& there was no rule about not laying under 7/2 faves
That would narrow the selection process down dramatically from what i observe of my fave laying.

Sounds like your missus has got a good "system"

Yeah, a disappointing day today Hat, but I suppose that we’ve gotta take the rough with the smooth….. over all, it was a rubbish day…. but I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with the lays….. it appears that Quad may be heading along the right lines, the lays appear to be the most profitable thus far….. I still hate ’em, but might be worth keeping an eye on…..

Wow!!!! busy day today….. no lays today, they’re not within my price range….. but I’m gonna have a better look at these later today, so no laying….. chickens….. these are the other bets for today…..

When Quad said he was laying the favs in the races that I was tipping in, it got me into thinking how right he could be….. so I checked all my races for a month…. I made a few adjustments because I felt uncomfortable with some of the favs, but I’ve finally come up with something that may prove to be quite satisfactory as laying goes….
I have taken my races from 14th March, I can only use those because I never keep records for much more than a month and that’s all I’ve got….. but it looks pretty impressive….. up to today it has had 64 selections and only 6 have won, so we have 58 successful lays and a 36pt profit…..
So, just to see how it goes, I’ll start a new thread tomorrow…. as with any of my horse systems, if I can make 10pts a month profit, I’ll consider it a success…..

Hi Hat…. thanks mate, but this has petered out a bit as we’ve drawn towards the end of April, it appears that we’re only in tick over mode…. I was on fire before I started posting, but it’s the fury of the posting Gods that has brought me to my knees…. still in front though and that’s the main thing, but another couple of winners before April disappears wouldn’t go amiss…..
You must understand that if I don’t produce a profit of 10pts a month, Matron will have his evil way with me and I don’t look forward to that cos it makes my eyes water…. it’s a good job that the nurse has given me a repeat prescription for the ointment….. at least Ward 7 has a decent surgery with the proper medication and suppositories for the soothing of such pains…..

Oh dear, it looks like Hat has been drinking Matrons "special" surgical spirit….. it’s supposed to be for medicinal purposes…. perhaps old Hat thought it was gin…… I hope he stops singing soon, it’s like being in the middle of a musical….
