The horsemen and the racecourses control the fixture list.
    The racecourses run themselves.
The offshore bookies laugh at their levy demands.
Betfair laugh at their onshore demands.
The Goverment keep telling them to pizz off.

Beyond chasing the odd bent connection, is this new whip rule all they have left to keep them in leather round High Holborn way?

45668 – Number of horses that ran in the UK Jan01-Jun30 (2010).
9 – Number of horses that were marked by a whip in the same period.
0.019% – Percentage of horses marked by a whip in the same period.

Yesterday one of the straightest trainers in racing had his jockey banned for 15 days, whilst trying for his life.

    Take ’em to court boys.

    you couldn’t make it up…..

    Unfortunately you are right,

    Cav

. BHA have chosen to invest nearly all of their remaining credibility into waging a war they are already beginning to realise they cannot win.

We will see face-saving fudge rather than honest admission they’ve made a mistake, but the net result will be a really serious body blow against UK Racing, hurting us both from the inside, and from the outside as more bad Media PR comes along in line with the high-profile bans.

    Silvoir

has been notable by his absence from the threads on this Forum…

My good friend Silvoir is knee-deep in the stuff at the moment, and that’s just the nappies he’s got to look forward to. Paul jr if it’s a boy, Paula if it’s a girl. Don’t ask for the weight, the machinery is too expensive.

Will you stay in a lovers’ story
If you stay you won’t be sorry

The Paul’s have been strengthening their line-up. Bittar and Bolt have been added to the ranks.

I bought you a pair of shoes
    A trumpet you can blow
    And a book of rules

The depleted Haigh Legions look on ready for one final battle. The Boy Wilkins continues to sleep upside down like a bat, though not for long I suspect…….

Don’t pick fights with the bullies or the Cads
‘Cause I’m not much cop at punching other people’s dads

I think the most important lesson is to learn to play.
