That was my fav Dr Who aswell.

I remember one episode when he offered someone a jelly baby from a full packet, the man shouted SHUT UP!! and slapped the packet straight out of the Dr’s hand. My brother and I always use to copy it, Mum and Dad weren’t best pleased when they use to come home with sweets all over the place.

I don’t watch it much myself, but the man in black is a huge fan of Dr.Who.

I USED to be a big fan of Doctor Who – times and tastes change, I guess.

But maybe being perceived as a different Ian Davies gives me a much-needed fresh start?

My brother was a big fan too Mr. P

After he passed away and we went to clear his flat he must of had every video and DVD and Annual ever of Dr Who. We didn’t know what to do with it all so I suggested to Dad he looks after it. Dad’s bedroom has about 10 box’s of the stuff in it now.

You’ve been through a lot in your life, Nathan, and cope with it very well. Puts a lot of us to shame. I throw a hissy fit if the village shop has sold out of milk or if I have to wait too long at the supermarket checkout, and other such mundane things

I’ve got loads of old Doctor Who VHS videos – I guess I ought to look into getting them transferred onto dvd sometime. :D

Are Whoists also Trekkies or do the fans of one dislike the other in a sort of Flat or NH manner?

I quite liked both: Patrick Troughton’s doctor my favourite when a nipper and of course Mr Spock is my role model :)

    Drone,

I like Star Trek – The Original Series (and DO have that on dvd though have not watched it in ages) for the same reason I like the early Doctor Who series – watching them triggers memories and takes me back. I’m not into sci fi, generally. :D

No offence, Ricky, but I’ve had numerous people’s mobile numbers over the years and numerous phones too, so I’m afraid I can’t help you there.

Maybe it’s best you all disbelieve me anyway – reality rarely lives up to the legend. :D

You disciples who like to follow leaders but don’t pay attention to parking meters should consider utilising the following key words in your outing quest:

    Warwick
    Hull
    Habbershaws
    Popleyfields

    look out kid
    they keep it all hid

    :?

I’m sure all who bet are familiar with the counter-intuitive probabilities of the Birthday Problem – Evens that in a randomly chosen group of 23 that 2 will share the same birthday; and holes-in-one at a golf tournament – about 7/2

So consider the odds that a common (in the nicest possible sense :) ) name such as Ian Davies cropping up on a message board with at the last count 38656 members  is er..

    .the

Ian Davies and contrary-wise that it isn’t

This Mr Davies, whoever you are I’m enjoying your posts :)

The net has indeed gone black and the transmissions from Honkers have been cut by the plunge protection squad in Wigan.

No more talk of a new global era, just chat about starting again with village totes.

I’m still struggling to work out how increased take-outs from Tote pools makes them healthier? :?

If you want to know where you’re going you look at a road map.

Phil Siers set out his road map last year in this article by Greg Wood:

    http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2012/o … ng-takeout

Higher takeouts beget punters from Honkers betting into UK pools which beget more confidence in the dividends delivered by those pools which beget a healthier tote.

    It’s all going to plan.

What does ”confidence in dividends” mean? :?

I’m confident dividends will be pants if take-outs keep rising and I’m confident they’ll be decent if take-outs decrease.
