    Hi

Im thinking of going to Beverley races while on holiday in the area in June , this means taking the kids and i normally avoid summer meetings due to the number of ‘lads’ getting legless … is it generally an ‘ok’ track to visit ?

    cheers

I’ve only been there once but I really liked Beverley, small course but with good facilities and excellent views of the racing.

The beer can flow some times but I’ve never known it to be as intimidating as some courses.

This is my review of the course

Avoid Saturday 8th and enjoy Wednesday 12th or Tuesday 25th would be my advice

Had many a pleasant afternoon there, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it

thanks for the info , sounds good so the 25th is booked in the diary , it’ll make a change from standing in the cold (i hope !) at Uttoxeter !

Whenever I see Beverley, Thirsk or Ripon on the fixture list I always think summer has finally arrived – all three courses seem to be very well thought of.

They certainly help give the impression that Yorkshire isn’t always about bloody-minded, flat-capped, whippet-loving, ale-supping, anachronistic know-alls with strange views on cricket and women.

    Which has to be good.

No problems with the family at Bev. Plenty of room to set up a base with the family away from the bar areas even there are a few ‘rowdies’.
