No clue if he is or not- but he does have an entry for Saturday in a G3 over 2m.
Joey did mention this in his stable tour…..Would be really interesting.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 6, 2019 at 14:19 #1474213I’ve finally went for Gold Present here, 33-1 ew
November 6, 2019 at 15:54 #1474220Not fancying Cloth Cap for this one, Lemons?
November 6, 2019 at 16:57 #1474226I backed Kalashnikov after his Old Roan run, thought that was a good spin for a tilt at this and his 155 mark is more than fair.
November 6, 2019 at 19:39 #1474243Hoping Sirhu Du Lac can keep on progressing this year and win some nice races. Seems to be a really tough one who only does enough and improved 2 stone in his four runs last term, including beating Jameka twice over C & D on his last two.
November 6, 2019 at 20:34 #1474247I don’t think that Black Corton can win off his mark, but I do think that he can be competitive.
This is one of my favourite races, so I will bet him just now st 33-1 with 5 places.
November 9, 2019 at 14:12 #1474435Thought that was a decent trial there from Cepage.
November 10, 2019 at 19:42 #1474552Finally had my first bet here.
There’s been a couple of runs from Mercian Prince that have really impressed me, and I think he’s on a fair enough mark. His King George entry catches the eye, and with stablemate Kalashnikov not coming here, he makes a bit of appeal. Shouldn’t be any ground concerns, and I’m happy to finally chance something in this.
Win only at the moment, but I’ll probably go each way, if declared tomorrow.
Mercian Prince 50’s
November 11, 2019 at 06:18 #1474570Two bullets for me:
Belami Des Pictions 33/1 EW- missed the 40s unfortunately
VW current form is excellent. An entry for kind George is very surprising, so i assume he flying at home. Mark of 146 is fair. I’m also surprised they went to aintree with Cepage when his cheltenham course form is strong. I think over priced at 33s considering stable form.
Us and Them 14/1 EW- Graded horse in handicap off 152. hoping he turns up.
Good Luck all
November 11, 2019 at 14:45 #1474598Sponsors going NRNB 5 places
November 11, 2019 at 16:13 #1474604Happy Diva is in the 20. So at least I’m getting a run for my money.
November 11, 2019 at 17:20 #1474615That’s a fair incentive Botch.
Mercian Prince declared, so I’ve went with The Sponsors.
I’ll certainly be going with at least another one here, and torn between this pair to the same terms…..
Brelan D’As
Eamonn An Cnoc
Both 20’sBut for now….
Mercian Prince 50’s
Mercian Prince 33’s EW 5 Places NRNBNovember 12, 2019 at 09:31 #1474633Nicholls’s assistant has talked up the chance of Magic Saint. He says the horse has had a breathing operation and has been working well. Of course, they said he was working well before the Grand Annual when they really fancied him but he disappointed. If the operation has worked he must be overpriced at 20/1. There is a lot to take on trust but I might be prepared to find out at that price.
November 12, 2019 at 13:58 #1474653Now Kalashnikov has been pulled I will be throwing a few quid each way on my old mate Splash of Ginge @ 50/1 5 places.
A couple of pounds lower than when winning this a couple of years ago, and his reappearance wasn’t without promise….almost identical prep to when he won this race two years back….could be his last hurrah!November 12, 2019 at 19:29 #1474677I have went with two early selections in this.
Happy Diva and Magic Saint, both at 25-1. They should probably be place selections, but for now they are win only.
November 15, 2019 at 13:29 #1474995Stable form, preferred ground conditions, course form and a decreasing mark are all the boxes I need ticking for me to go in on my old friend Splash of Ginge. Got 50’s with Coral a couple days ago (horrible after timing, I know) and breathed a massive sigh of relief when he managed to squeeze in. I’ll have a look at the field properly once racing is confirmed, but for now I’m more than happy with the boy. Just hope he’s done with the game.
November 15, 2019 at 16:05 #1474999Minefield of a race
