Well done Eclipse, Society Rock won well. Thought it might be a bit quick for him today, clearly not the case. Ortensia with valid excuses, apparently struck in to herself and has a cut leg. Es Que Love stumbled at the start and I thought Bated Breath was awkward leaving the stalls too. Never travelled with his usual fluency afterwards and not at his best. Strong Suit travelled very well for a 7f performer up with the pace. May be needs to be held up but becoming disappointing. With pace fairly slow and all on the far side Wizz Kid (drawn high and held up was up against it from her position. Not that she’d have beaten the winner, even at her best. Gordon Lord Byron improved to take second and Dandy Boy probably came back to his Wokingham form in fourth.
Value Is EverythingSeptember 8, 2012 at 17:08 #412457Yeah reports here (@3am!!) are that Ortensia sustained an inch cut to a fetlock and is coming home now. Did a good job over there and is probably a good chance to be retired now. Don’t fret geezers there are a heap of top shelf gallopers emerging here to launch another assault there next year. !!!
